Let me guess, another driver who cannot read or obey a speed limit much less a stop light. Same thing happened at the McDonalds intersection a few years ago. A little traffic enforcement in the area would be a good thing.

TTH HOW ABOUT A LITTLE COMPASSION, gee whiz, if it was your wife or your family, would you be so cocky? Geez!!! Doesn't matter the reason, a life was took here, have a little compassion.....My daughter said it was a mini van, that there was nothing left of it, maybe she didn't see it good, she said there was so much traffic, with the cops and all...I pray for the family left behind

I'm so sorry to hear about this wreck. I will pray for all people involved. Accidents do happen, and they are tragic. We should all be sure to follow the speed limits and be cautious out there on the roads.

I was at the gas station about 15 min after it happened. You couldn't even tell what kind of car it was so smashed. I wondered if the people involved were ok. Praying for the family.

little does people realize that it takes the length of a football field to safely stop at 55mph and more if roads are wet,i cannot count the times me being a trucker people have pulled straight out from dead stop in front of me and no matter if had adequate distance or not or doing the speed limit this factor had just been erased because of someone else,s action,so to make up bulls-t trucker never touched his brakes or tryed to stop is plain stupid heaton,i do have sympathy and compassion for anyone involved in an accident, but heaton its not wise to point out suddenly its a truck drivers fault, sometimes we are victims to trying to avoid these situations, safely is a high priority for me with over 2 million miles driven

I also came through there, the vehicle was on the truck to be removed from the scene, and it was HORRIFIC.Much of the vehicle was simply gone. The poor woman and her family......There were men pulling trees out from the front of the semi when I came through and debris all over the place.

Well the woman was sitting at the red light waiting on the green so I'm sure she didn't pull out in front of him

Amazingly horrible accident. What is also amazing is that the Expositor was able to post something online so quickly yet they had nothing about a drug bust Tuesday night... Curiouser and curiouser. My heart does go out to the families of both the victim and driver of the semi. Chances are he's looking at negligent homicide if it is proved he did not slow down. And if there were any illegal substances it will be vehicular manslaughter or worse murder 2. This is a sad situation for all involved. And in the accident TTH mention, it was another incident of a semi running a red light. The speed limit is 45 and there are warning signs that the speed limit is reduced. But I'm not sure if there is a sign warning of the redlight. More enforcement there would be a good idea as would traffic cams to catch people speeding or running the lights. It's lest costly than adding another officer to the force to monitor those areas in particular and would generate quite a bit of revenue for the city.

This is a sad happening. I hate going to that area and mcDonalds area also for the fact no one pays any attendtion to the light at all. I have about been hit afew times over the years at both interchanges there.

I knew Jeanne. She was a delightful, spiritual and giving soul. A genuine one of a kind. May she rest in paradise. I will miss her along with many others feeling the pain of her loss.

The trucker rear-ended this lady. It was ugly and sad. Prays for her family.

Sparta needs a full on speed trap on 111 much like approaching I 40 in Putnam Co. People generally are not bright enough or have enough respect for others to obey laws without the fear of a penalty. It might even save your life but more likely nothing will change and we well await the next death. Hope it isn't you or someone you care about.
