Is the person that supplied the beer to these underage high schoolers gonna be charged. In my opinion he is the most guilty.

yeah he received a small jail sentence and the family does not feel it is wrong to supply beer to their children. he should have received a much harsher punishment along with the boy who was driving.!!!!!

yeah and not really being punished for it did little to convince them, I'm sure. Of course their lack of morals doesn't help either...WONDERFUL parents.@@

hey im sure i didnt know markie like you guyz did but i want to let you know even though i didnt know her she impacted my life...when i was still playing softball i remember she was a junior umpire and she was always my favorite!! she would talk to me while i played catcher and she was always nice to everyone in softball! now im currently attending don antonio lugo and i ran track. she would have been a senior this past year and all the seniors on the team knew her. we were cleaning out a shed and we came across some old awards from track...one of which was markies...the senior who came across it was just instantly upset. after one of the dual meets i was asked to run the mile...knowing it was markies event i ran the whole race thinking of her. i came in second that race and first all the others. markie is my inspiration. she was an amazing person and an inspiration! i really wish the guy wouldve gotten more time for what he did. i dont care if he was drunk or sober i hope he realizes he killed someone many people love and look up to! he doesnt deserve her parents being nice. i may have barely known her but she has impacted my life...i hope she has helped you all in one way or another im sure she proably has.

I am assuming you are from California. The guy who did it has not been sentenced. He is still in jail waiting...

well im sorry if any1 knows this man but he most definately deserves whatever he has coming to him. i know they tested markie already but i think its wrong to acuse her of drinking because she is very religous and she would never do anything like that...my mom knows markies mom and when we found out we were devestated. if anybody knows the guy who did this and talks to him i think he should know he took away a great inspiration from me....

He did take a away a great inspiration. Markie was a hero to almost everyone that either played softball or ran cross country and track. I did not do either and she was still my hero. She was the sweetest person ever and she does not deserve to have a bunch of people who do not even know what happened to come on here and talk crap about her. If you do not know for sure what happened than just shut up and drop it. She was not drinking or doing drugs or whatever else everyone says she was. JUST DROP ALL OF IT.

My Gosh people, I understand that it is very tragic to lose someone you know or love, its even more tragic that such a young person was killed. But tread after tread about Markie has talked about how Markie was a saint. Have you ever heard that saying, you are the company that you keep? I think its kind of odd that you all say Markie didn't drink nor do drugs...then why wasshe at a party where there was drinking and drugs? Furthermore you all swear up and down that she didn't have anything in her system, well unless you are the medical examiner you can't possibly know the truth, I just find it hard to believe that she would be at that party and be the only one there not drinking or doing anything illegal. Yes its a shame that this happened, but its not just Markies family involved. Do you think the Travis boy is proud that he got drunk drove, and wrecked a vehicle causing his friend to die??? I mean you all have said that this wasn't the first time he had done this, did you ever think that maybe god had this planned, I mean think about it, if Markie was the saint that you are making her out to be then shes in a far better place then where we are with no more pain and suffering. And as far as Travis, maybe god was using this to open his eyes since nothing else (DUI's) weren't opening them.
I am not defending travis's actions, but I am not defending Markies either! Heres a question, how come you all are not talking about anyone else with many DUIs on their record, is it just simply a fact that Markie and her family has status??? I mean come on people. Quit pointing fingers, let this poor girl rest in peace, and for gods sake quit talking about what was.

[ first of all country boy, your an idiot.. marki was not his girlfriend.. second of all he shouldn't of been driving anyway with no licence after being suspended for a dui. i was with marki the night before the accident, she was talking to me about when she was a little girl she told her mom she would stay 5 for ever..she was preparing for college and had a great future ahead of her. the loss of her life has devastated the whole community. travis nor the girl who's party marki attended or the girls father who supplied the alcohol has never even apologised or tried to compensate the voyles family.. it's been a year now since we lost marki and i can tell you her parents and sister will never get over this. if travis feels so bad tell to at least make an effort to apologize and start doing some of the things that markie's parents asked of him like teach other kids not to make the same mistake or pay money to her scholarship fund that would show some remorse or even an apology...

[first of all the reason marki was at the party was girl that had it was supposed to have the party at her house supervised by the parents not in a field. second of all the tox report on marki showed no drugs or alcohal in her system. marki was a runner a very good runner she didn't even drink soda. she was very careful what she put in her body. for people to insist that she was at fault is ridiculous and shows just how ignorant some Tennesseans are. her parents are from California and don't have any special status in Sparta. they have only lived here for 4 years. i hope was i of help to you, and answered your stupid questions
dude lets let this go

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Pisces

Although you're busy putting the finishing touches to your Christmas preparations, you'll also have to pay attention to someone who's feeling neglected or unloved. Luckily, it won't take much to make this person feel better, so a big hug or a little consideration might do the trick. You should also bear in mind that they may be feeling nostalgic or sad about the past.
