Damn skippy they should get Jackson's pic off the $20. You aren't helping your case by comparing the stars and bars to a xenophobic genocidal sociopath.

I do feel bad for the black people and the way they where treated, and slavery was wrong and never should have happened, but it seems to me that we tried to make up for the way blacks where treated, but native americans have never really got an apology for the way they were treated,i believe in equality,I think we should treat everyone fair so i truely do mean it from the bottom of my heart if they want to do away with the rebel flag because it offends the black people than they should do away with the 20 dollar bill for what andrew jackson did to the indians, and all the men woman and children that lost their lives on the trail of tears, they should think about everyone's feelings, and you right,i bet andrew jackson, or old hickory is setting on a fire ball!

That's what i'm saying alot of african american are saying that the Rebel Flag is offencive to them that we should do away with the flag, slavery didn't happen to them it happen to their ancestors,so if we have to take down the rebel flag to appease african american's we should do the same for native americans, and take andrew jackson's picture off the 20 dollar bill because they find andrew jackson offencive!

When are people going to stop being so offended everyday by the simplest little things? The history of this county has some very dark points and bad thing were done to a lot people and nationalities. It is something that cannot be undone or erased, it just is. I see things everyday that offend me, but I see no point in starting a fight about it. Everyone has their own opinions and thoughts on things and they are allowed to them. If it offends me so greatly I just don't look. In this case since the offending material is in public view and representive of a business, if it offends do not patronize the business. It's that simple. There is nothing gained in spending precious time ripping people apart.
Yes the rebel flag as a symbol has been manipulated into a symbol of hate, just as the swastica has. Neither of these symbols original meanings had anything to do with hate or prejudice. A symbol or a nation of people for that matter cannot be held accountable for the actions of few or events that happened over 100 years ago. Do reseacrh on things and find out the history and truth of them. You will be surprised at what you learn and some you will feel very foolish for making very wrong comments. What you learn in school is not what history really is.

Are you kidding me?? Native Americans AND African American have ALL SORTS of entitlements available to them because of what happened in HISTORY. Free college, indians - reservations and immunity from the department of children's services, and on and on and on. They have received plenty for things for which they THEMSELVES did not suffer.
ZERO pity. WE did nothing to them. And THEY did nothing to deserve anything.

You are absolutely right! They have been indoctrinated (brainwashed) by modern day media into hating the battle flag without any reason other than it represents slavery when it represents nothing of the sort.

They haven't a clue there was SO much more to the south than what happened over a hundred of years ago. Some really think that every southern human that lived back then had a slave. They fail to educate themselves that in today's money the purchase of a slave was the equivalent to buying a 90 thousand dollar car. How many folks do you think could afford that even now?

I agree with what Abe Lincoln said, this country and the slaves both would have been better off if we had shipped them back to Africa
