Here is what happened. A customer buys the MP3 player, uses the MP3 player and for some reason they return it. Wal-Mart does not check the product and just shoves it back on the shelf for resale. Thats what happened and as someone who has bought many used items from Wal-Mart unknowingly thats totally what happened.

Fed Up With Massachusetts wrote: <quoted text> I bought an iron at the Walmart, only to get it home, open the box and find somebody's dirty old used iron in the box... Obviously, somebody bought a new iron, stuck their old one in the box and "returned" it. The service desk obviously never opened the box when the return was made. Then, when I returned it and explained what happened they never even opened the box, just returned my money. I bet that old used iron went right back on the shelves again. my mom worked at walmart as a cashier for a while.. one day she found out that a lady working at the service desk got a tv box loaded with bricks inside.. someone waltzed in, said it wasnt what they wanted and she gave them cash back.. only later finding out there was no tv at all..

The state of Florida and GLSEN think she is old enough to read "Heather has Two Mommies" and "Daddy's Roomate". Don't forget those condom distributions in elementary school "Health Fairs" either.
Wake Up Parents! The CD was an error but the schools are intentionally corrupting the FORMERLY innocent.
The modern 10 year old is as sexually wise as a 21 year old of the 1970's. Don't believe me? Ask your elementary aged Princess what words and phrases she learned in school. In Middle school ask her if she was taught that homosexuality is OK and abstinence is an "unreasonable" expectation. You will be stunned!

WalMart can't sell returns? There are always taped-up items on the shelves, especially in the electronics dept.

I would suggest that someware between the factory that made the device and the retailer, a third person has had their grubby hands on this player. in any case, this 10 YO girl would know all about sex simply by looking at a computer and if she did not know a site , her friends would be sure to tell her ,or show her. As for young kids, sex is in their face daily from may differnt device / sites promoted by older generations for the $$$$$$ I as a 64YO male get sick to the back teeth at the amount of sex on TV in all it's forms, computers etc even bloody telephones!!!!! It is not the kids who are to blame but greedy b******s of older age who leech their dollars in this manner cheers from wattlebloom@people.net.au

Our net-nanny software monitoring program found our 9 year daughter trying to go to forbidden websites 10 years ago. I shudder to think how much worse it has become (and I used to teach third grade).

Once when I tried to return a crib sheet pakage they told me they would not take it back because a sheet was missing I had to argue with th customer service rep for an hour explaning thats why I want my money back because whom ever had theproduct before me got paint on the comfter and stole the sheet. I had to call the store manager because if the lady accused me of being the BAD customer one more time I was going to kill her. They did give me a $50.00 wal-art card because of her behavir but you get my point.

Since you used to teach third grade and I barely made it out of the third grade, please forgive my total ignorance and stupidity when I ask this question: How did your 9 year (old) daughter try to go to forbidden websites 10 years ago?

Ha Ha, Biker. I'll bet you are a lot smarter than that! Your question isn't stupid at all. I had a small computer network in my home, so each child would have their own computer for homework, etc. Eventually, we hooked up the network so that each PC could get onto the Internet. Since that was a risky move, I installed a proxy software that would monitor the sites that were visited. At that time, it only had the capability to catch certain words from a pre-dfined list. The word that was caught was "penis". I got an automated notification and went into my daughter's room and found her and her friend on the computer looking up some "words" that they heard at school. With a little pressing, we found that her whole circle of friends were checking out all kinds of "grown up" things. At that time we had set hours that she was allowed on the computer, but like most kids, she and her friend broke the rules when she thought she could get away with it.

I must have missed something in your answer. If she was 9, how did she explore something 10 years ago? She would have been -1 years old, not even a fetus. She would have been at least -3 months in fetal years. It's not that important. I just want to make sure I can still grasp basic addition and subtraction.
