We have the best coaches that cookeville and livingston had to offer just like the principal. Don't you people know by now that we don't have a person in white county that could turn our football and high school around like this bunch is going to. These are the principal best friends and you know how good he is. Those students and teachers walk the line at the high school. Lay with this bunch some people want to be just like cookeville well here you go.

Until they stop picking first string by checkbooks we are going to have this problem. Just because a kids parents have more money and live in nicer houses does not make them better players. It is more of the old Sparta ways same ole clique.

I agree with Thinking...There were a lot of other boys that could have went in so the team did not get worn out. There is no reason for these boys to not be rotating in and out. He stated when he came here that he was not going to be playing them on both sides. Looks like the check books or the brown nosers changed his mind on that one. All I can say is that we should have never gotten rid of Malone. I say BRING MALONE BACK!!!!!!

same old story, same old bitching. Never satified with anyone. Start naming them...Maynard, Lamb, Brown, Malone... all with coach of the year credentials but not good enough to coach all the fine athletes of sparta. Try shutting the HELL up and letting just one stay and keep the job.

It starts in youth. We need a better youth program and attempt to draw more young players. If you can ever get the youth program to where its the big thing in white county, you will have success. Talent is an ambition

I agree former warrior but the head high school f.b. coach must show intrest . What about not having the field ready for the middle school game. Then the water coming on during the game and he laughed about it. He knew this was something he has to do but didn't LOOKS LIKE HE FORGOT HE HAD A GAME FRIDAY NITE. What about the 9th grade game didn't see him there. Not talking and woring with middle school coaches and somewhat making fun. The principal better get something done with his boy or they both will be moving on. But lets not forget their all from cookeville or have cookeville ties . So they think their alittle better than the sparta folks.

Our youth football program is growing and growing. And we have some parents committed to helping it exceed. The biggest problem with the program is the division among leagues when Sparta should have only one league but because coaches couldn't agree and get along we divided our children up and to me that sends them the wrong message. But it is true...it is all about who's who on how much your child will or won't play. I see it every game. That will never change unfortunately so there is no use in whining about it.

If you are going to take the time to get onhere and post something, at least make it somewhat factal. It's not the high school coach's responsibilty to paint the field for the Middle School. Here is an idea, how about Dycus and his coaches paint the field for the game.Do you know that ever since Luke has been there, the QB Club has painted the field for him. And not just him but for the youth leagues too. The differance is that the youth league coaches came out and helped and made donations each year to offset the cost. Dycus has never so much as said thank you.Now that is over. The Middle School does not want to be a part of the High School program. Well at least Dycus does not. He has been invited to clinics and meetings and has yet to show up for anything. Houser asked to go to the Middle School and talk to the incomming freshman. Request denied. About Houser not being at the 9th grade game. What would you suggest he do,cancel practice for the rest of the team. Do you even know where he was? He was Painting the field Thursday evening. The QB Clb offered to take care of it but he said that it was his and the coaches responsibility to get the feild ready. Sounds like Dycus need to take that mind set. Not only was he practicing, and painting but the team has pre game meal Thursday evening and a team meeting at 8:00pm,that is open to the public. He also was hanging signs around the field, shoveling dirt around the new sidewalks, and repairing the field where the leaking sprinkler system has caused the field to fall out. And while I'm on that, do you know that the team and QB Club have raised over $60,000.00 for stadium repairs and upgrades. Do you know how much the school board has given $0. Well I take that back they put in hand rails and a wheelchair ramp so they would not get sued. And another thing, do people think that just because their are 70 kid on the roster that they can all play, Truth is after you get past 15 to 20 players the ability goes down so far that they can not compete. Truth is some don't want to play. They are there jst to be a part of something.Look at#18, he will never play a down on Friday night but he loves being out there and the team loves him and that is great. The point to this pos is to say don't get on here just to say stupid stuff that shows you really have no idea what you are saying. If you wan to post about why there were so many missed tackles or why there were blown coverages or why the running backs did not turn the ball up the field, thats something that i want to know, all the rest of this crap is just childish

Why were our backs running east and west instead of north and south? You have to be MUCH faster than the defense to be able to do that.

What you have said was all true and i have given my share to the qb club. But on getting the field ready . Im pretty sure houser was to get the field ready or have it done. As for the water coming on and getting it cut off who took care of that. As for the coaches at the middle school thats not real smart if the above statement is true.

I'm not sure why the running was so bad. I've been at practice enough to know that that not the way they have been told. To Poster, it is the responsibility of each coach to make the field ready. Dycus never even sent the sch over to the coach. As a matter of fact Dycus would not have even checked if a parent had not text him about the issue. That parent said that after he text Dycus called Houser @ 10:30pm on Monday before the game on Tuesday. It's like he thinks that people owe him something. Those Middle Schol kid deserve better than Dycus

it's clear that you never played or you have had no child play for him. Luke is a self centered goofball who is just there to be seen and pick off the random mother when he can

LOL Part of the problem is no one here knows how to win. How long has it been since White Co. has had a winning football team? The first thing that will have to happen is the parents will have to get out from in front of the team(s) and get behind the team(s). Football is about "heart" and attitude. You have have played to understand that. Until that is fixed nothing will improve.
