Sparta may soon annex Doyle and turn county into one large Metro area. Similar to other cities in Tennessee to boost growth and population. Personally I think it is long overdue and can't wait for it to happen.

Yea I heard the same thing but it won't happen till the next election in two years correct? Or will they even have an election and just do it thru the courts? I'm leaning in favor of it honestly it has both pros and cons

You don't know what it means? To make a long story short, the entire county will become one big, "city limits". I'm trying to explain it in terms that you may understand, so anyone that knows the more technical definition and what it means calm down. Basically it will end Doyle as it's own city and make it part of the Sparta metro area.
Just thinking

The definition of metro has nothing to do with population. So what's funny? Spencer, huh? Nevermind.

I am against a Metro government here. For One I am not interested in having to get a permit to build a pen for my livestock. I am not interested in getting permission to make improvements to my home on my land. I am not interested in paying taxes for services I do not receive such as street lighting and sewer. I am not interested in allowing the idiots that have made Sparta the laughing stock of the Upper Cumberland in charge of the entire County. Thanks but no Thanks NO METRO!!!!!!

They can do it through the courts, I hope they do it that way. White county is too dumb to vote on such an issue.
