Droped my son off at WCHS this morning for the first time all year and what I saw made me sick. At the end of the building outside was a boy with a girl pressed up against the wall grinding on her and them making out like no-one was around. As I drove by I wondered where were the teachers and the people who are supose to be running the school. It was sick.

Sure hope it wasn't my kid. Why didn't you get out of your car, go over and asked them what they were doing?

Gee chestnut mound your putting your two cents in on topix alot so don't point your finger at no one else. So now teachers or school staff are not in charge at school or students. Parents can't keep a eye everywhere. Never heard it takes a village to raise a child. If it was mine i would welcome someone ripping them a new one for rude behavior.

I really doubt it was as bad the the original poster said. Was it grinding and making out or was it hugging and kissing. Because I've seen some very prude people confuse the two.

Ibelieve that once your child steps on the school bus, or drives in to the school parking lot, then they become the responsibility of the school staff. It is negligent of the staff to allow these things to go on. However, it wouldn't hurt for the parent to have called the office at the school and reported the incident. The school staff could have eyes in the back of their head and couldn't keep up with these teenagers, or the teenagers of my generation. It's ok to be a tattletale parent!

Grandma I couldn't disagree more.. To say a child is not their parents responsibility once they get on school grounds is outragous. A child is a reflection of their parents regardless of where they are at and are always their responsibility until they reach the adult age. To blame a teacher for the actions such as this for a child is simply wrong. School is for academic learning, not teaching them morals and self respect. That should happen at home..

My apology if I didn't make myself clear. I agree a parent is responsible for each child . However, once that child gets on a school bus, or drives into the parking lot of the high school, it is the supervision of each school leader to make sure that these children/young adults act in a decent manner that deems appropriate for society. I agree school is for academic learning ,but we have to take the full spectrum of life's experiences into account with each individual student. If their behavior is unacceptable, by all means contact the parent.ASAP

I disagree
cause that STUFF did happen 10,20, an 30 years ago, most kids
were more discreet but there was a few that were all into the public display of DRY HUMPING AFFECTION. Horomones an low self respect seems to be the DRIVING forse behind this type of behavior.
To be young an have those raging feelings again....MY MY.....
But I do agree that there should be more discretion an the parents
need to know when the APPLES ARE GETTIN A LITTLE TO RIPE......Lets
not blame the teachers for everything but lets do try an make them aware that it was seen an needs to be addressed.

dude i was 8 years old when i heard prince's darling nikki. we were exposed to all sorts of graphic info as kids (i'm in my thirties). heard condom barn commercials on the radio, kids talking on the bus, kids making out and more in front of lockers during class, etc.
so, tell me...whats the difference between now and then because i don't see it. in every generation you have kids that will and kids that won't. some of it you can blame on hormones, some on rebellion, but puleez no cop out bs about video games and music. i saw it on tv and in the schools, heard all about it in songs and gossipy whispers, didnt make me wanna do it...
