Her obit says they've set up a Landon Bell Trust Fund at one of the local banks. Just check out HH's website for the info.

Wondering, that's the rumor going around. No one really knows for sure. I've heard it both ways.

BTW, I don't know why this thing keeps saying I'm from Rochester, NY. I'm in Cookeville.

That's really hard to believe. I knew him many years ago and never in a million years would I have thought he could do something like that. He was kind and funny and a real nice kid. What on earth could make a person change that way? This is so sad. It' just a nightmare for all concerned.

I have been out of touch with him only for about a year now...and never did it seem that he would be capable of this. He told us all how much he absolutely ADORED her. I have no idea what would make a person like that just snap!

I agree completely. Something very strange happened to Chad. He was not and I don't believe is, a murderer. This is wrong and I grieve for Sara and all the families, but something is wrong with Chad and it is not being a cold-blooded murdered. He really loved her!!! I can't emphasize that enough. I'm wondering if some type of physical illness may have caused this. Just a thought. Chad is not like this. The Chad that I knew never use drugs so we can probably rule that out. I don't believe he is using now. People would have been aware of that long before this tragedy. I feel physically ill regarding all of this. My sympathy to both families because both have lost their children.

I too knew Chad growing up. This is not the person I knew and I know for a fact that he was raised in a Christian home because I attended church for years with the family. My point I want to make to all the people who are second guessing and pointing fingers is: this is not the time. Chad will have to answer for his actions through the courts but most of all with God. So the most important thing that those of us who profess to be Christians can do is pray for Sara's family and Chad's this is a tragedy and this has affected many people.

You should be ashamed. Who is the name caller now.
Tricia Loftis is a great friend and not a gossiper. Whomever said that apparently does not know her, but I guess you made that very obvious. And why should we hold back on someone who took the life of such a wonderful person. Did he think of how much he would be taking from us or how it would affect everyone else. He took from us a great friend, a daughter, a sister, and a beautiful son's mother.

He looks like he is crying in the mugshot. Is he crying because he is remorseful for killing his wife or because he got caught killing his wife? I feel for Sara and Chad's families, but I can not seem to make myself pity a confessed murderer. I hope justice is served for Sara and her family.

I guess I should just go out and start doing whatever I feel like at the time. I mean to hear people on here all I have to do is cry a little and show remorse and all is well again? I do not understand that

Such a sad tragedy. I have lived in this area for many years and lived close to the area where she died. It is a fabulous community and obviously not indiciment of the people there. I believe in capital punishment, regardless of 1st degree or 2nd degree. Murder is Murder. eye for an eye. I just hate it now that Landon has lost both of his parents for such a stupid and unnecessary act.

He confessed. I don't believe he meant to do it. I think there may be something to the physical illness part, and no one knows for sure what Sara did to provoke him. I've heard how sweet and wonderful she was, but all of you didn't live with her. This was not premediated. It was in the heat of the moment and she did something to set him off.

You can't believe he meant to do it. You know it is awful to hear that guys are beating their wives, and they say they didn't mean to do it, but be realistic, you can not provoke somebody to kill you, that person has to be very sick, and there is nothing in this world who can provoke somebody to kill you.

You're probably right. I just meant that a lot of the posts here paint Chad Bell as a cold blooded murderer who was lying in waiting to strangle his wife. I just wanted to make the point that they were BOTH arguing and that argument led to the horrible death of this young woman. Of course, her death is wrong. As wrong as can be, but Chad must have had a lot of pent up anger for something to take it out like that on Sara.
