Reno schools chief outlines layoffs, budget cuts
The schools chief in Reno says making $35 million in budget cuts could mean laying off for as many as 200 teachers, administrators and support staff, and dipping again into school book funds and reserve accounts.

It is a sad day when the schools which have had to endure massive cuts in the last few years to have to make even more.
Our state is sitting on lots of untapped revenue and yet the majority in Carson City including the Governor refuse to tap these resources.
Cutting the schools is not a way to boost Nevada and will have devastating effects that will last for years to come.
Pull you heads out of your... and fund education to the national levels and get Nevada back on track to becoming the model of education in the nation.
