seeing as how it is a felony & the 20 year old died, i believe people should be away of who this minor is that did the crime. also, how did a 17 year old get a samurai sword!?

"Should be away of who this minor is?"

You're an idiot, don't you mean aware?
No you shouldn't be aware of who the minor is in this situation.
He/she Is 17 years old, he/she is still protected by the the law, that no one under the age of 18 should have their name disclosed for any reason.
This isn't murder, because it was not intentional.
This person was protecting themselves.
Southington, is gossip heaven, I'm sure you can find out by asking around.
Why should it matter to you anyways?
You're probably one of those snobby people that like to talk about others behind their back?
Don't worry about it you're not in danger. No one is going to attack you in your home when you're asleep at night.

Who are you to call names? It STILL IS MURDER. Intentional or not! The kid hit the other kid in the neck with a sword, that's not intentional? Please. Lock the kid up for good.

okay big deal i made a spelling error, MARIO. you know what, assault IS a felony. his name WILL be released. there are exceptions to the laws about disclosing minors names. when a felony is committed you will have your name released at some point in time. so, MARIO, just because you are friends with some of the people that were with this person, doesn't mean you have a right to say anything. i know no one will attack me in my house when im asleep at night. Thanks to SPD.

Once again, misinformed people are wrong again.

First off, the kid ( 20 year old ) wasn't stabbed in the neck, he had a flesh wound on his arm.
The police said it wasn't death threatening, but sadly he passed away.
Which is why it is based as assault in the first degree, the worst he will get is unintentional man slaughter.

Not murder, He was defending himself.
There was over 50 kids there that attacked him.
If he was going there with 50 people against 2-3.
Then yes that would be a much more serious charge.
If those 50 people didn't attack him, this wouldn't have happened.
Sure why not put the blame on one single person, what about those 50 people.
What do you need 50 people for?
A brutal beating that is what you need them for, that can be prosecuted for as attempted man slaughter as well.
No one brings more then 50 people to attack someone, without some serious consequences occurring during the whole ordeal.
He could have had his ribs broken in, his neck broken, internal bleeding.
The way I look at it, one less idiot in this world trying to start violence and drama.
Whats a 20 year old doing trying to beat up a minor?
That in its self is a felony.
And from what I hear there was much older men there as well ranging all the way to age 30+.

So what If I am friends with them? That is complete and utter bull crap.
I think he should get jail time yes, but not murder.
Jail turns people into worse people.
If he gets out in 20 years, he'll be ten times as bad, more street knowledge, he'll know how to commit more crimes and get away with it, from the people who was with in jail then before.
Why don't you recount why the 20 year old was there in the first place? Too commit first degree assault.

Chris is already messed up, i don't think he can do much worse. i don't see the point in bringing a samurai sword to a fight in the first place. Chris told Shane that he would kill him, and clearly, his plan was a success. This leads to the fact that it wasn't unintentional man slaughter. Chris should be locked up for a long time - if he should even be let out.

Shane messed up as well, but he didn't deserve to be killed. rip Shane.

Mike Hunt, You don't know me don't talk shit.
You're all hounding me because your friends with Shane or knew Shane, and weren't close with Chris.

I knew Chris for a long time, he never gave me shit.
Yes he had a bad temper but he was also one of the nicest, most thoughtful kids out there. And he was caring.
Shane must have done something to antagonize him.
This isn't just one persons fault.

Chris may be a nice kid, but realize, your knocking Shane as well. Chris could have done something to antagonize Shane. don't just say Shane did this and Shane could have done that. Chris is at fault as well. Shane is a good kid, you wouldn't realize this because your choosing CHRIS' side.

If you read it carefully, you would see that I was trying to state that this isn't just chris's fault.
I was pointing out that you are all hounding chris. Because you are all friends of shane.
I never said that chris isn't at fault.

So take your own advice, and stop taking one side, shane's.

I just want to say this... I KNOW THE KID THAT GOT KILLED... Shane did NOTHING to deserve this and if anyone thinks something else is a scum bag... Plain and simple. A 17 year old shouldnt go around thinking he's some sort of video game character with a sword. Give him the death penalty. Karma always works.
