Only partly true. Detroit is ripe. Everyone can smell it from very far way. Shop tooling got exported years ago. Working whites exported themselves starting in the 60's. What's left, we don't want that going anywhere. Keep it in place and encapsulate it like the toxic waste that it is.

Move. Anywhere you go is better than Flint. Just ask GM.

What's really retarded is that people sometimes believe the posting city shown on Topix is where the poster lives. Such folks have little understanding of the internet or how computers function.

Neither city is doing well at all. Then again, what city in Michigan IS doing any good after this many years of Granholm? She has done so much damage to this state, we may never recover. Anyone who think that Detroit can recover in a few years from what Kwame and Granholm have done is truly retarded to the point of needing to be institutionalized. They're just Kool-Aid drinking babbling fools anyway; too bad they can vote.

Detroit is a desolate slum that should be wrapped up and exported and sunk. That would be a good start.

P.S.: I have no idea why topix posts this about me, but I AM NOT from New Hudson.:)

One export we lose everday is college grads. I have two ...helped them with many years of tuition to get decent degrees from in state universities. Where are they now? Not Michigan. We failed to maintain our leading edge in manufacturing and technology. Now we export our most valuable assets. Sad.

On the positive side, you got the kids out of the house and self sufficient. Now they can pay you back. They can establish a beachhead for your later escape if necessary.

Yeah...you got that right. It would be nice not to have to get on a plane for 3 hours just to see them though.
