With all do respect to this Democratic committee, I think we the tax payers have to take stand against this endorsment of Mr.Foley. We are tired of our taxes going up and up and you come out and say its ok for Mr.foley to run for Sheriff and if elcted will collect another 93,000 dollars a yr on top of collecting a state tax free 112,000 disability pension plus full medical benifits. I say he has had a successful career and should be happy he was able to collect this tax free pension and move on in his retirement or give up his tax free status and collect a regular retirement and pay the taxes like the rest of the working men and women do. People join me in voting against this double dipper and send the right message to The Boston Leadership and let them know we aren't going to stand for this, we pay enough for there service and I along with you on Sept 14th will let them know we are in charge.

Kudos to Tax payer. Mr. Foley had a great career with the MSP.This is where it should end. What Mr. Foley is saying about his retirement is not the truth! This is a DISABILITY not a pension. I researched and called the Mass Retirement Board. They told me that his $112,000.oo is not paid out of his retirement contributions. It is paid directly to him from the Commonwealth through tax-payer taxes. No matter what he may say or tell you, it is not the truth. I feel sorry for the disabled workers that are legitimately out on a disability, this is a slap in the face to them. Do not vote for this man on Sept. 14th. He has neither the experience in a correctional facility nor the ability to tell the truth.

It gauls me to hear Mr. Foley saying that he wants to work! I have no problem with him working, but not at the tax-payers expense! Im sure that there are many private sector jobs that he could land with his years in the MSP. Take a hint Tom

What made my mind up was seeing the type of supporters Bove has, they are goons period. Foley has young, old and a great cross mix of people. Bove has a tough looking and acting bunch that are scary looking. Somebody told me they're jail employees that are on the clock.

Would you rather a hack or a politician? I wouldn't. I'd much rather have the much more qualified person for the job. The others combined cant match the qualifications of Col. Foley, the only ones that dont want him are the scared good old boys because their world as they know it is over....

On another note, why is it that only Col. Foleys signs are being vandalized? I travel Summer St daily and the sign is tipped over every morning and upright every evening.

The other two candidates also have signs in the area that are left untouched.

Tom Foley has served us proud for 30 years protecting us and our families and also fighting corruption with the FBI and Whitey Bulger. Throughout his career, he was recognized nationally for his hard work, leadership, and his integrity. During his career, while working undercover, he was exposed to toxins which damaged his heart. His condition is now controlled by medication and he has been cleared to work. However, due to state law, he is unable to return to the State Police even for an administrative position. Yet, he can run for Sheriff as there are no physical requirements. As a result of his disability, he is receiving his pension which he paid into for 30 years. If he becomes Sheriff, he will receive a salary for his work but will not be taking a pension or other benefits. We have the opportunity to have one of the nation's top law enforcement officials clean up and professionalize the Worcester County Jail. Yet, many of you read a few inaccurate letters from goons at the jail with a hidden agenda and you immediately start criticizing Tom Foley without hearing the full story. I feel that anybody who is knocking Colonel Foley should at least meet him and hear the true story before casting judgment. He served us with honor and integrity for 30 years and I feel we owe it to him after all his years of service, to at least, meet him and hear the accurate story before we cast judgment. Anybody who will not even bother to hear his side, is either working for the opponents or just plain ignorant. For more information, please visit www.foleyforsheriff.com .

Dear head Foley has absolutely no jail experience! end of story. You must have supported Glodis in the last election. How did that work out for you?

Bob, It is a heart disability. If you listen to the Colonel, He claims it is a pension, it is not! The disability comes straight from the tax-payers of this state. Don't listen to these wannabe troopers, they have their own agenda as well. zVote Bove Tuesday Sept. 14th!

No jail experience? First, Foley started his career as a CO, Bove never worked the cell blocks, I know I worked there for over 15 years. He's had nothing but easy jobs, desk jobs, all because of his father. Bove has no college degree, no experience with multi-million dollar budgets, no experience working with high level law enforcement officials, no experience dealing with hundreds of employees. Bove is the poster child for hacks. And about Glodis, he claimed to be an experienced CO, he did work as a CO, but only part time, he worked 1 day a week 2 when he was on college break. Running the jail is a big step down for Foley, if anything he is over qualified.

like it or not it is not illegal. The jail needs someone who is qualified, Foley is the only one with the credentals to do the job.

I agree with you, "taxpayer" is full of it if he /she says they called the retirement board and got all this info. And if they did give all this personal information on Foley to " Taxpayer" then the retirment board should be investigated. I doubt that they would give this kind of personal info out over the phone. Taxpayer is lying

My apologies to "Taxpayer" my above post was directed at "just tell'in the truth". And also one more point, Bove may have 27 years working at the jail, but he has never worked the blocks nor does he have a college degree. He's never managed more than 20-30 employees.
