It sounds to me like the "officers" at Bridgwater State "Hospital" need to stop checking their huanity at the door to their workplace. I am glad that they are going to get in trouble for this. Someone DIED because of the fact that these people chose not to LISTEN to the fact that Jousha was calling out saying that he was having a hard time breathing and to physically STOP restraining him.

I am disgusted at the fact that a person died becuase of neglgence on the part of Co's restaining someone instead of getting medical attention for this person. Had this been done in a hospital setting in free society instead of the state's care, the hospital would be sued and the people responsible would be fired!!!!

Keep telling your story. So many people don't believe this happens. They feel everyone inside lies. That there is no good people in jail (prison). The truth is our justice system is in need of great repair. People are going to prison because they didn't have money to hire a defense lawyer. Please know a public defender will do... not a thing... but collect their check. People going to prison without a lawyer and doing time for a crime they did not do but what the police said. They need to clean the police system up and a few deserve to do time for telling lies and not the truth which they swear to.

Drugs in prison. I am told easy to get in prison. How? The people who visit, they say but how? Can't take anything in for a visit. The how is the system has a lot of bad people who work for the prison. They bring them in. Clean the police and justice system and just maybe they get the real people doing crime.

Thanks mmurphy, when my son gets out I am going to write an expose' on the inhumane stuff that still goes on aat Bridgewater. The people at the hospital section have a certified brain disease and they are living in fear of the guards. The Josh Messier murder by guards is being swept under the rug, everyone invoved is not talking! obviously terrified or paid not to share this terrible tragedy of a 21 year old young man sent to Bridgewater after a misdemenaor for a 30 day evaluation.
He lived 20 days.
I dont doubt the betting on patients fighting by guards at all. There are masochists working there . My son has been provoked many times by guards" I dont like the way your looking at me, youd better watch yourself" comments are the very least of what they will do to provoke patients. The truth is there are decent guards too. Who will go out of their way to be decent to patients and the visitors. Please share your story and if anyone wants to anonymously tell their story for my expose I would be most grateful. You will know that you are making a change for the future young men who have the misfortune to
get stuck there. THey break ones spirit there which may be neccessary in some cases but these people, like a man I know who was kept there indefinately for seven years, come out more paranoid than wwhen they went in. Please KEEP sharing.

Sadly I dont know if the sick officers check their humanity at tthe door, There are people who do not have good morals and good intentions as people that are drawn to jobs like this .
It allows them to collect a paycheck for playing out their masochistic tendencies. They also are insane , just havent been caught. Can you imagine some of these mean people going home and being a generous and loving father or husband and then turning it off for work? No, they are angry all the time, and most likely are emotionally vacant or abusive at home too.
Please continue to share in detail about the injustices.
This facility is hangin on to the cruelties that were documented from the 1930s to the 1970s.
At one point it was shut down for having no bathrooms , force feeding people, wretched stuff, and worst of all, it used to keep people beyond their sentence indefinately. People who never committed a crime would go for a sanity evaluation and be there until their death of old age. these traditions die hard at Bridgewater. All it takes is one complaint from a guard to sabotage someone slated for leaving.
There is so much wretched energy there, from the spirit of slow torture from the past.
