I am so concerned about the people and the area around the Green River, its covered bridge and the homes if they were affected. We don't get much of the news out here on the West Coast about it. I want to see pictures. Any suggestions?

After growing up in North Adams and passing Shelbourne Falls many times, I finally got to see The Bridge of Flowers the last Sunday of July. I live in Virginia Beach,Virginia, now, My husband and I were visiting my best friend from high school in North Adams(I graduated from Drury High In 1962). We decided to go to see the Bridge of Flowers. What a treat I missed for all those years! It was absolutely gorgeous!
I received video emails showing the raging water trough the flood control system in North Adams and the Deerfield River in Shelbourne Falls. How awful!
We had also just been in Vermont ,where all the flooding and destruction occurred ,with our friends that same weekend. It's still hard to believe we had just been to both areas. Our hearts go out to anyone who suffered any kind of loss from Hurricane Irene.
How did the Bridge of Flowers fair from the storm? I hope it didn't suffer too badly.
