Stereotypes still run people. It's 2009 and it's really sad. How can we have our first black president and still be so far behind the race barrier? I was upset when I first heard the false accusations. It's already hard enough for black men as it is.
Hard enough? FYI I was raised by MOM after my parents separated when I was two. I had none of the minority programs and freebees available to me. We had to get by on our own. Not to toot my own horn, I turned out sucessful without a college education because there weren't any college programs for the white "disadvantage" kid. No Affirmative Action, no NAACP, hell, no Al Sharpton to parade me around saying I need a break. Please stop with the "hard enough for a black man" song. I lived in a poor area, one parent and was able to stay away from the crime and drugs that riddled the area. Any kid black, white or green can choose the right path. It is blacks that make it hard for their kids by saying the same exact thing you just stated. Bill Cosby is right, take charge of your own destiny and stop blaming the white man. I am in my early fifties with a big house, two cars, two kids, one starting college (with no grants might I add). Don't insult both mine and your intelligence.

What this woman did was inexcusable, but not all that serious in the larger picture. The bottom line is, no harm no foul. Kind of like calling 911 because McD is out of chicken nuggets.

Congragulations to you! You should make your race proud. This is America any one regardless of race can obtain success. Yes, racism definitely continues to exist, but not to the point that it will stop ANY youth from making something of themselves. That excuse is only used by those who want to be losers.

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Aquarius

The atmosphere in the office is stressful. Learn to divide time in a planned and phased manner. Beware of starting a lot of new things but not having the time to finish any of them. Mental overload will burn your busy and chaotic schedules and health problems may crop up all of a sudden. If you party with friends this evening, don't make it too late.
