Honestly, if you are steeling food to provide for your family becuase you have no other means to eat, then there sould be an exception to the rules. Everyone knows that at this current time especially in our area there are alot of people surfing the unemployment lines due to the jobs that they have had for years no longer need them and employers have to cut back, time are rough for everyone. Now if the items stolen from Giant were misc. stuff (vidoes, flowers, etc) then ok charges should be filed, but if it was food only think long and hard before you cast judgement, that might be you someday and thats the only way to feed your children.

'exception to every rule'...are you serious?

No, there are services available to help you and your children as well as food pantries. Breaking the law should never be an option. How will you help your children when you are in jail?

"exception to every rule," This is a right and wrong law, there should be no gray lines...If people like you keep saying...well it is because of this and because of that then we shouldn't have laws. It is great you want to feel bad for this woman, but two things to point out... 1) no where does it say what she was stealing (meat, chips, condoms, baby formula, etc.)or for whom she was stealing for (herself, friends or kids.) Stealing is stealing. 2) you do realize that this poor person is one of the great reasons grocery prices are going up (other words these "poor people" stealing from the store and the only way the store can make up the lost cost is to raise prices MEANING more money out of YOUR pocket.) If she needs food for her kids and she is "that poor," theres is a WALFARE office less then a mile away from Giant on Norland ave, there is the food pantry and countless other agencies that help. THERE IS NO NEED TO STEAL IN THIS DAY AND AGE. PUBLIC ASSISTANCE IS EVERYWHERE.

I think not! The reason grocery prices and prices of everything is going up so much is b/c of people like her-why she should get it for free, when the rest of us have to pay for our items? Heck yeah it would save me a ton of money each month, but I'm not going to stoop to stealing or public assistance to obtain the necessary's from the grocery store. It's called living within your means!

Exception to every rule made a good point: "but if it was food only think long and hard before you cast judgement, that might be you someday and thats the only way to feed your children."

people, just wait till things get really really bad in this country

imagine when we have 1000s of desperate people like the one above...crime is going to go through the roof in the next couple of years, there will be food wars, robberies will increase by 1000x

what are you going to do when the grocery store shelves are empty and unemploymenet is at 20 or 30%?

what are all of the lazy welfare people going to do when the government can no longer purchase their food because they printed so many dollars that the dollar is not longer worth the paper it's printed on?(i'm talking about the people who milk the system, not the legit ones who use it temporarily till they get a new job)

americans have become so fat and lazy that when the **** hits the fan for real in a few short years (this current recession is a drop in the bucket), half the population will panic

people are in for a rude awakening...better be prepared cuz there are people who will be in panic mode and they won't think twice about shooting/stabbing or assaulting you for your food and money

just look at how many people are killing their whole families and going into former places of employment cuz they lost their job and they kill 10 and 20 people at a time and then kill themself because they cannot take stress...

Brenda Lee!
Shame on you. Do you not have any friends or family to help you out? There is NO excuse. Rather it's stealing food or toilet paper. No excuse what so ever. I am a single mother of 2 young children. Never once have I stole or have I ever relied on the system to help me with insurance nor food stamps. I luckily have a job that helps me with both but they have to crack down on these lazy people and make them find a job. If you look hard enough and your not too picky to work @ WalMart or McDonalds. You can find a job or maybe even two.
Stealing is wrong! No if ands or buts about it! Do the crime, pay the time!

Warminster township's powers that be intend to revise the township's zoning and land use code.
Their planned revisions are to designate properties that are currently zoned and used as office/profesional and institutional to residential and some commercial. Their intent is apparently to promote more house construction in Warminster. Then Centennial school district has indicated that it will most likely have to close two schools for economic reasons. If they are designated as residential that assures many more houses to be constructed in Warminster. In addition they want to designate the property owned by Christ Home that is opposite Willowdale school as residential. That will surely mean another one hundred or more houses on North Norristown Road. Traffic is already a problem on that road due to the willowdale and Log College school traffic.
In addition they intend to designate Pine Grove Cemetery, on County Line Road, as residential. While I do not believe that any of the CURRENT RESIDENTS will be moving in the near future I have to wonder what is the township's motive.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Capricorn

A certain person is strong-willed with the Full Moon in your emotional house of others. It's a lunar eclipse too, so this could lead to some ructions in which everyone becomes firmly entrenched in their own opinions and refuses to acknowledge anyone else's point of view. Get the arguments out of the way early on, so you can then concentrate on having a really enjoyable New Year's Eve.
