Loved the article. I grew up in Willimantic in the 50's and have endless good memories of the city from that time. What we used to call the "town farm" and Nolan's hill. All just memories now. One of the Victorians on Prospect street used to be the children's library. My friends and I, as children, used to play along the banks of the Willimantic River even when it was still polluted by the American Screw Company with oil from screw manufacturing.
