I am not a fan of the site, but I would like to comment on the 4wheeler ban in Loyall. It is unfair of the mayor to make the decision to ban them completely. There were more riders riding as they should than the ones riding carelessly, and the Loyall cop should have stopped THOSE people and impounded the 4wheeler as it was once stated after a meeting instead of stopping all riders. The paper said we were given a chance to see if we could have followed the rules and most of us did. Most of the riders we have are mature adults. We did have 2 very imature girls riding one weekend with a loud radio showing off and a few after midnight a couple of nights and again there were young imature people, but those should have not been allowed to maked the decision that affected everyone. I think the decision should be looked at again and voted on, not just decided by the council. I know there are things that could be done to stop the riders not following the rules, instead of stopping it all together.

I seen that add on the front page of the paper and didn't find it at all fair but then the next day in the paper in the sports section where most people probably din't even see it, It said that the paper needed to make a correction, that the Loyall council had not voted on the matter that they had only agreed and that they had scheduled the meeting for a later date.

It still isn't right that those people to make it a deciding factor for all of us. I have lived in and around Loyall for most of my adult life and I think they should all be taught to abide by the laws. It was once stated by the Longworth council if you were not following the rules they set they would take your 4wheeler and you would have to go to court to get it, what happend to this rule? Most of the people that ride through Loyall are either Loyall residents and known by all or from the Rio Vista area, so when they find people riding unlawfully, why not take the 4wheeler, take the people home, if underage which most of them are and site the parents to court. This would stop all of the careless driving, but we think most of them are friends/family of the council members. The way it is being handled is unfair to all the rest of us.

Well it is a state law that you cannot ride them on the streets, they are not tagged or insured read the law carefully, not just the part where it says you can go 2/10 of a mile to cross the road...to cross the road and that is it.people like wacks and his loud obnoxiousness ruined for you all

I think that it is silly to ban all fourwheelers from riding in Loyall if people are doing so and being responsible about it because most of the people are only trying to get to the trails. I have lived in Loyall for many years. I don't much ride a fourwheeler even though I know people who do and I can honestly say I have never once been bothered by someone riding by on there fourwheeler I think some people are just naturally cranky and have bad attitudes and don't want to see other people having alittle fun. after all like I said before I live in Loyall and it has never bothered me I like to see people having fun and enjoying themselves if their being responsible.

If they want to ride let them go to Evarts where they can they can roam the streets up there. The four wheeler people fly in Loyall at if u have children one of these days it will be your child. They get there four wheelers up on 2 wheels. as far as wacks he says he just goes to the trail when did the CSX become a trail.
Chris needs to get them and take there toys away from them all you parents have know idea what your kids are doing when the get out of your site they say my kids are good they wouldn't do that wrong. They know when Chris isn't here and they do what they want to here.

This is just another step towards communistic control. True, that may sound harsh.... Slowly but surely, we are having our voice taken away from us, and all we do is complain. Let's take away their smoking rights, let's make them wear a seatbelt, let's stop them from riding 4 wheelers... etc...

Anyone else see a pattern?? We have no right to voice our opinion, we have no forum on which to vote, which was what our country was founded upon... Let issues, such as 4 wheelers, be polled and voted on by the townspeople.

It was not voted on by the Council the Mayor did it on his own he has the right but...it still gives the Council so many days to vote on it.I am not crazy about the four wheelers because they don't ride them right here in loyall they ride in the CSX yard and they know who they are.

I don't even own a 4 wheeler, and I think it was wrong for the mayor to make a decision without letting all the Loyall residents vote on this issue. I have lived in Loyall a very long time, I would like to see the mayor and the council put as much effort in banning the 4 wheelers to getting something done about the odor from the river. There's no way this can be healthy and who can enjoy the being outdoors for the horrible odor. I think this issue should be at the top or his list. Ever day he should call whoever he needs to, to get something done!!!!!!!!!

I don't know who breaks the law on the riding, I only know that I only ride through Loyall to go to the sewer plant road. I never ride the streets of Loyall. It is nice to load fishing gear on the back of the 4-wheelers and go to the river or take a cooler to the trail, but we still have to ride through Loyall to get there. I don't think this is too much to ask. As for the lawbreakers, the mayor and the Loyall cop knows who they are and they should be dealt with. They can take the 4wheelers and if it is a child riding it they can site the parent to court and make it stand or make each 4wheeler have a permit to ride through the city to get somewhere else. I would gladly pay the city of Loyall a fee just to be able to ride to the sewer plant road. I think it should at least be thought through before making a decision to stop them completely. It is really hard loading them on trailers for such a short distance. There are dirt bikes on the streets of Loyall all of the time and they are much louder than any 4wheeler and they do not have a problem with them.
