I'm doomed. Through the Cootie Network, they know where I live. I anticipate tiny little fists of fury to be pounding on my doors and windows as soon as the sun goes down. Well, I clicked on the site, and was astonished. There's a whole dang Cootie Culture out there, except the favoured spelling seems to be with a "K", which I don't agree with. I go for the more traditional "C". However, for all of my anti-cootie needs, that site is clearly the place to go, and Birdman is so handsome that I think I want to date him. Well, I can appreciate that you have to protect your family and all. And, as you can see, I've got S.W. as well as Birdman in my camp now. I get the feeling though, Elise, that if it was just you, me, and Cooties on a desert island, you'd side with the Cooties. That'd be a mistake. Moot point. Desert Islands are sunny and traditionally have only one skinny palm tree so cooties won't stay on one...oh, wait that would be bed bugs...well, maybe the same is true of cooties, being distant cousins...aren't they related?...they could be.......I have to lie down, now. I am not surprised that the cowardly little cooties have resorted to this kind of intimidation. But we have the cootron bomb, a weapon of mass destruction that is harmful only to cooties and does not destroy buildings and other structures. Just say the word and the Cootbusters will detonate one in ABQ.

"Snufalufagi" is the plural. I'm pretty sure that the offspring are called, "Snufalufalets". As for the long, purple thing, presumably an appendage, there are only a few things that it could be. I hope that it comes with a pouch or a pocket or something,'cause that ground is mighty cold, mighty cold.
