I feel sorry for all of you! Seriously, does he and his family bother you so much that almost 5 years later you are still talking about him? Get over it!! Get a life!! There is a world outside of your little white trash town you live in. The boys are all sucessfull and living a great life and none of you can stand that because everyone in that rat hole was jealous of the whole family. He did what he did or didn't do and now he is serving his time. His family has moved on and they are all doing GREAT!!!! Thank god they got out of that SLUM of a town and moved on!!! I don't know whether to laugh at you or feel sorry for you.

this is all so pathetic...I was dr procters patient ,so was my mom, my kids etc.he saved my son's life as an infant,,,he helped my mom get the help she needed and if u met him on the street he knew your name without having to look at a chart..he was a caring man and and loved his sons deeply ..he took time to come to the office even bringing his sons along with him on a holiday when my mom was sick and no charge i might add..he never once put any of us on meds that were not needed and definately no scheduled substances.. and i am saying if there were problems i agree it was those he let take over his practice and he got caught in the backlash of it after his accident ..he was not he same man as before...due to his injuries i talked with him at lenght once when we met outside krogers and he told me he had problems after the wreck but he was still the same kind caring man he had always been ..and before you ask no i never had anything personal to do with him other than patient doctor relationship...
but i do hope he is doing good and i would welcome him back here and use him as a doctor again if that were possible...Levi,Saul i can remeber you and your brother as children and no matter what anyone says your dad was smart, funny, caring person and when it came to his patients getting the best care yes he could get a bit tempermental at times which gave him a bad rep among the medical community..but he definitely had his patience best interest at heart...glad to hear levi is a doctor would make dr d proud....and since your dad has been away i have never had another doctor as good as he was with my kids, grandkids etc..rumours can hurt people ..if you are gonna down someoen you should get all the facts... not just what the press sensationalizes to make money selling papers
sometimes we as people make mistakes and if he is guilty of anything it was letting people take advantage of him...

My Dad is Dr. David Henrie Procter. He is an amazing General Practitioner. At the moment he is in Lexington, KY at the Federal Medical Center. He did do some some things bad in his life like selling Prescription Drugs to some of his patients. He did in fact flee to Canada since he is a CANADIAN! And think if your a very great doctor and you have tons of patients wouldn't you want to make more money. So he did have a bit of greed, but he can tell you right on what your problem with your body is. He graduated High School at the age of 15 and he graduated Medical School at the age of 22! So he is very talented/educated. So, if you are some of his patients then you didn't/did know that he did this in the first place. Plus he Bub!

Dr. David Proctoe was a complete idiot that loved takeing advantage of his female patients exchanging all sorts of pills for sex . The man has no morals and no respect for anyone ! Nothin but a pill pushing quack that took complete advantage of our community and ruined a lot of peoples lifes ! He should be locked up and throw the damn key away and let him ROT in his cell a lonely peice of shit ! As for all you pill heads that want to take up for him your just as bad as he is and I hope you all get caught and go straight to jail where you belong for the safety and well being of our children and our future . Fact is that DR. DAVID PROCTOR was and allways will be a PILL PUSHING PEICE OF SHIT and deserves nothing more than to DIE in prison ! We don't need people like him in or around our community ! And as far as his boys go their all spoiled brats and think their better than everyone else. Heard that one of them is practicing in the medical field now ! Wouldn't suprise me a bit if he takes right after his dad and turns out to be a LOWLIFE PILL PUSHER like his dad Dr. DAVID PROCTOR.

David Procter was one of the best Dr.'s this area ever had. He had compassion and understanding for his patients. Yes he did break the law, he and his family have paid dearly for it. A Dr. can only do so much and if the patients say they are in a lot of pain,,, how can he prove they aren't? Then,, he can't control what they do with the pain meds after they get them. Those who O.D.'d was their choice,, not his.
This topic needs to be dropped, and let the families get on with their lives. The Bible says,,ye without sin, cast the first stone! and I don't think anyone can do that. My in laws always said,,, the more you stir crap, the worse it stinks. This subject has been stirred enough. Find someone else to stalk..and leave this family alone.

Dr. Procter was my doctor when I was a baby.:) Up until I was about 6 or 7 and we moved. My mom absolutely loved him! We don't believe everything we here...I mean seriously? Even if he were doing something wrong, I'm sure there were others involved or may have actually been the ones doing it and he got blamed!

I've thought of him lately and googled him and this site came up...

Despite your feelings on the man... he got what he deserved. Don't lose sight of the things this man has done...

I lived in South Shore at the time and I recall Main Street lined with cars, with license plates as far away as Arkansas and Missouri, all trying to visit this little pain clinic to get their fix. The sign on the door clearly pointed out a close time of 5pm, but at 9pm, 9:30, even until 10pm, Main Street was still littered with people and cars; the vast amount being not from this area.

A quick Google search reveals a lot...

-In 2002, seven physicians practicing out of a medical office in South Shore, Kentucky were arrested for trafficking in controlled substances, including OxyContin®. On April 29, 2003, the owner, Dr. David Proctor, plead guilty to conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and agreed to a 16-year sentence and a $650,000 fine. The six other physicians received sentences between 3 and 20 years of incarceration.

Proctor and a female companion were caught at the United States/Canadian border on August 15, 2003 with fake identification cards, over $40,000 in cash and an airline flight itinerary to the Cayman Islands, via Vancouver, B. C.

After Proctor concludes his federal prison system the United States Immigration Service has notified the federal court of the governments’ intention to deport Proctor from the United States. David Proctor is not a United States citizen.

The judge proceeded into how David Proctor abused a woman named Denise Galloway. Proctor was providing Galloway with over 500 pain pills a month, giving injections of pain medicine after regular working hours in exchange for sexual favors. Proctor would take Galloway on long drives into the country and have sex with her. Proctor's preying upon Ms. Galloway humiliated her to the point that Galloway could not sleep, nor eat; she withdrew from her church, and ended her marriage while her young daughter watched the destruction of her mother. Galloway checked into Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Ashland, Kentucky to detox from the pain medication Proctor had addicted her to and then used that addiction to satisfy his own lust for sex.

The Eastern Kentucky/Southern Ohio region has been freed from one sexual predator using drugs for sex. David Proctor’s crimes are finally public. David Proctor is where he belongs tonight, behind bars. When he gets out, this country will be freed of a dangerous sexual deviant.

The judge's very own personal comments:

"You had the best this country could offer anyone. You had an income in excess of $250,000 a year. You have fancy cars, a home with over 10,000 square feet. You chose to violate your Hippocratic Oath as a doctor, you betrayed your family with your womanizing, you betrayed your patients, and brought shame to the medical profession."

Judge Wilhoit became vividly upset as he recounted how David Proctor sat in the courtroom trying to blame his former lover and co-worker Mary Catherine Dials with all the trouble that Proctor was in with the government. "You wouldn’t even look at the woman that had your child (Dials) when you sat in this room and tried to destroy her. You even had your lawyer try to manipulate her by becoming her lawyer, but I stopped that when I had Mr. Shuff from Lexington assigned to defend her."

"I’d love to know how much money you have squirreled away in the Cayman Islands or wherever, but I can assure you of this, that money will have a lot of mold on it before you get to it, because you have shown me no remorse for what you done. I see the only way to get your attention is a long prison sentence." Judge Wilhoit then sentenced Proctor to 235 months in federal custody. The judge suspended 35 months for Proctor’s testimony against his fellow conspirator doctors. Proctor will be eligible for judicial release after about 14 years in prison.

After reading all this, how do you feel about the "good" doctor now? I, for one, am happy he's where he belongs.
