just wondering, if you want to check out HCA call the school and set up an appointment. The staff and teachers would gladly show you around and talk with you. I have 2 children who go to HCA and they enjoy it. Like most schools it is not the teachers or staff that are tough to deal with it is students who willfully break rules and test the limits. If someone is displeased with the way things are handled then they need to step up to the plate and volunteer to help out the staff and teachers. Instead of complaining offer a hand to help out.

I have a child at Harvest and this is a complete lie. And yes it does offer a christian environment.
Sorry know the child very well went to school with her, was friends with her, so check again. Unless she dropped out and went to another christian school. All schools has it's problems but not all schools are for every student, I understand this. But if you are going to be bad it doesn't matter what school you go to, they will try to hide it.

If it isn't Harvest getting put down, then it is McKell Elem., McKell Middle, or GCHS. Everyone has an opinion. Some folks just need to home school I guess.

it may be a christian enviroment but the kids can be just as cruel. they like kids in the public system makes fun or laughs at kids that are different. so the studies may be better but you need to go over maybe christian values better? let me tell you that what goes around comes around when they get out in the real world then they will know what it is all about.

Check out the 8th grader at HCA that is pregnant. What a great school and christian environment it is.
This is so not true. I happen to be very close with all of the 8th graders, and this is simply a lie. Stop spreading lies about such a great school

then you apparently do not know much it was not an eighth grader. I did not say it was a bad school just that the same things go on sometimes.

As a former student there, I can honestly say that yes, it does have it's problems but it's getting better. Linc classes have been gone for a couple of years now, they have a new system that seems to be working so much better. The reason they had linc class is because it was cheaper than an actual teacher at the time, and as EVERYONE knows private schools don't get government funding so that was there reasoning for Linc. However, it is gone now. As for the disciplinary issues, there is a new administrator that is really setting the law. He's doing a fantastic job and the school atmosphere is completely different. Cliques, however, every school has them. They're really impossible to avoid. The only advice I have to offer is be yourself and don't worry about it, yeah there are some preps there, but not everyone is. Take the time before you label someone.I think they were trying to get a preschool, but I think that there was a lack of funding or a teacher or something. Not sure. It really is a good school. There's a lot of one-on-one teaching. A lot of the teachers go out of their way to help the students understand their material. They don't do it for the money because, let's face it, teachers can't get paid much here because it's private. The fact that Harvest has had quality teachers STAY is a miracle in itself. Before you judge, get the facts straight, because more than likely you don't know all it has to offer.

My child attended this school for three years. The last two years the kid was bullied. The administration at the time was affraid and paralyzed in reference to the situation. Because of all involved parties and one particular situation they did not know what to do. The kid now attends Mckell. Our child now looks forward to going to school and has many friends. Our child is the happy kid we had before HCA. I thank God I pulled my kid out. Mom wanted her pulled out long before. Its a shame because you expect Christ's love at a Christian school. We are a Christian family. No school is perfect, but favortism runs wild at HCA.
