Like I said before, I think people are so pissed off because of the way this case has been portrayed that they wanna believe that Trayvon was this horrible kid & was up to no good. I think that if the BLACK leaders & community wouldn't have made such a "big deal" about it, then some "white" people would look at it totally different. Instead they're just seeing people rally & protest over Trayvons death because he was black. The racism goes both ways. My opinion of this incident has nothing to do with the race of Trayvon or Zimmerman. I just see it as one person being armed(gun) & the other unarmed.

I believe you are accurate in a lot of ways here. I can certainly admit that my perception of this case was strongly shaped by the mobs and rhetoric from the black “leaders".
However, this thing has been a lynch mob from it from day 1, and the root cause of the mob frenzy, is NOT Zimmerman shooting Martin...it is Sharpton, Jackson, Obama, and the Black Panthers spinning everyone up on this case...
I think what is really telling about this case, and as I said before, exposes a long overdue debate on race. On trial here, along with Zimmerman, is an indictment of the Black Community in general.
White people are fed up with a case like this getting nationwide attention, while murders within the black community, and far more tragic and brutal, NEVER see the light of day.
I found it ironic that when Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Fla) held a press conference, she had already convicted Zimmerman, and whipped up the mob in frenzy. She said that Zimmerman hunted him down like a rabid dog, and murdered him in cold blood. Really? Then...just ONE day later, IN FEREDERICA WILSON’S OWN DISTRICT, a group from a black gang crashes a funeral wake and guns down 14 people...killing a 5 year old little girl...YET it did not grab headlines, nor did it grab the attention of Frederica Wilson.
Without those clowns, people would care less, and that is a FACT.
It is things like that, which makes things boil over and cause lasting damage, when for close to half a century, white people have been walking around with their hats in their hands apologizing for slavery and Jim Crow. At SOME point it HAS to stop. The end result of this constant look the other way mentality has produced racial profiling, and contributes greatly to incidents such as the Zimmerman case.
Now on the events of this past week…Martin’s parents are “APALLED” that Zimmerman got bail. Really? Well that is how the justice system works. First of all, the defense excoriation the lead investigator and ripped the affidavit to shreds. I would not be the least bit surprised if this thing gets thrown out altogether. The affidavit was filled with assumptions, innuendo, and conjecture…very few facts, and the defense let the court know it.
Also, the prosecution has not been forthright in producing evidence that they had, including a picture which shows gashes all over the back of Zimmerman’s EXTREMELY bloody head. You see…THAT was left out of the media, because it didn’t fit the narrative.
Indeed, it is things like that….

I apologize for the double post...I had spaced my (as usual) verbose post in such a way that it was more readable, and when it was submitted the first time, the spaces were removed...so again, my apologies...

I agree that there are thousands(or more) cases of kids getting killed & they haven't got any attention like this case has. I don't believe Trayvons case is anymore SPECIAL than any others. To me its sad & heartbreaking anytime a kid has lost their life. I don't think any case should be considered more important or get more attention than the next. I'm just OVER the whole racism bullshit on both ends. I'm sick of any "black" people feeling they deserve any special treatment (for anything) because of what happened in the past. NONE OF US had anything to do with what happened then. I'm also sick of the "white" people who assume that all black people are the same. That think black people all think alike, all look alike, are all "bad"people, etc. When I meet or see someone I decide if I like that person because of who they are & what they're about not "what" they are.

I am pretty sure, at this point, that George Zimmerman will be acquitted. Here's why:

According to Florida's "Stand your ground" law, section 776.041 Use of force by aggressor (George Zimmerman).–

The justification described in the preceding sections of this chapter is not available to a person who:

Or… in other words, the use of "Stand your" can not be used to justify your use of deadly force if....:

(1) (George Zimmerman) is attempting to commit, committing, or escaping after the commission of, a forcible felony; or

(2) (George Zimmerman) initially provokes the use of force against himself or herself, UNLESS:

(a) Such force is so great that the person (George Zimmerman) reasonably believes that he or she is in imminent danger of death or great bodily harm and that he or she has exhausted every reasonable means to escape such danger other than the use of force which is likely to cause death or great bodily harm to the assailant (Trayvon Martin); or
(b) In good faith, the person (George Zimmerman) withdraws from physical contact with the assailant (Trayvon Martin) and indicates clearly to the assailant that he or she desires to withdraw and terminate the use of force, BUT the assailant (Trayvon Martin) continues or resumes the use of force.

Now in Section (2), part (a); this clause has been used repeatedly in the state of Florida, by gang members, who killed another gang member for whatever reason. Drugs, prostitution, territory disputes, whatever. That is just an example, but the one that has been repeatedly used (successfully) to get gang banger acquitted of murder. Item 2, part A of this section of the “Stand your ground” law is very weak, and opens up ALL kinds of opportunities to those who commit murder, while involved in a crime.

Section A does not apply here, because Zimmerman was not committing a crime…

In this case, it appears that Section (2), part (b), DOES apply.

Zimmerman, according to eye witnesses was getting back into his truck, leaving the scene so to speak, when he was attacked from behind. We clearly saw that gashes in the back of George Zimmerman’s head, and according to eye witnesses, this 6’ 2”“child” was on top of Zimmerman beating him.

Zimmerman was withdrawing from the scene, and Trayvon attacked him. Even though the confrontation was initially created by George Zimmerman, his act of leaving the scene exonerates him from being charged with a murder.

I predict that this case gets thrown out, and if it does go to a jury, AND even if that jury finds him guilty…the judge will overturn the verdict, because the prosecution case is flimsy at best, and George Zimmerman’s case is VERY strong.

So you believe "some" white people are applying racial prejudices only because "some" blacks and media are applying the racial card? Sounds about right to me. Somewhere a young white person is watching all this thinking to himself that he/she is tired of feeling responsable or guilty for another persons choices, based upon skin color. And I bet they only wish and dare to approach such social issues with the exact same commentary they would for another white person, but can`t because "some" blacks apply double standards and blames their problems on whites to begin with.

The racism goes both ways. Just because you're pissed over someone playing the race card doesn't mean u should "fight" back by making racist comments. Two wrongs don't make a right
