His record does not come up anymore...perhaps he has been released since this link was originally listed.
I apologize for bringing up Gig...I brought that up, not anyone else. It was the rumor I heard over 20 years ago, and it was nothing more than rumor. So that's on me...my bad.
I knew both David Maynard's as well, but knew the "Burlington" David Maynard better than the "South Point" David Maynard...
It was shocking to say the least...
David and Donald is still in prison. They both got 20 years to life. David is in Allen Correctional Institution and Donald is in Chillicothe Correctional Institution. Donald comes up for parole July of next year.

could the same person that killed sally have killed kippy? Just curious since there at same time & both so violent
I was told by a first responder that Kippy was clutching blonde hair in both hands when they arrived at the scene. The person who has long since died, said he was shocked when they arrested the boy driving Kippy's car for the murder, because he had dark hair.
He said Kippy was alive when they arrived and was trying to tell them something, but he passed before he could tell them.
He said the scene showed one hell of a fight took place inside the apartment and it was very bloody, yet the boy arrested had no injuries or blood on him. He still believes the wrong person was arrested.
Does anyone know who was arrested for his murder and if they are still incarcerated?
Was it Lawrence Village or the Commons where it happened?
still wondering

Right...lets clear that up...it's not the principal...lol.

Even still, David Maynard was a surprise. I would have never figured that he would do something like that. He seemed to be a quiet low key guy. I DO have to admit, however, that he was merely an acquaintance. So his closet friends, perhaps would tell a different story.

I alwasy heard it was Giggy Clark...is that not true? Did he never do time for that?
I've always wondered what ever happened to David Maynard and what happened with this case does anyone know???

Wow...thanks for the background. I heard rumors, but not quite as detailed.

As for David Maynard, is he still in prison? What was his sentence?

I did time with David Maynard at Allen correctional, I knew what he was in for, but never asked for specifics on his crime. He is a very good person at heart, and is a very loyal person to know. He attends church in prison weekly, and you can tell just by looking and talking with him that he thinks about his past mistakes, and wishes everyday that he could go back and change what he did. He mainly keeps to himself, in prison, and tries to stay out of the way not causing problems. The weapons charge was before I knew him as well, but he regrets that it happened, and was left with no real choice with that ordeal.

David is a funny guy to be around, joking, thoughtful, and caring. Why you people are bringing up somebodys past after 20 years, starting rumors, when you don't even KNOW him, and haven't even attempted to visit him is just wrong. If you had any decency in yourselves, you should go to Lima Ohio, and ask him face to face, or send him a letter stating how you knew him, I would bet that you WOULD get a response. Since I have been out of prison (over a year), I still think about him on a daily basis. I wish him all the best, and cannot wait for him to come back to his loving family.

Thinking his name was Donald Moore. David was dating his cousin Beth at the time. Took the money he got and bought her roses.
David was given life and he was sent to Lucasville. Donald Moore is in Chillicothe. Donald had a wonderful mother who worked her ass off in housekeeping at a Huntington hospital. Personally I never believed Donald was guilty of this crime. Knowing his mother and hearing from her things that were never told in the news, I did and still do believe that Donald was in the wrong place at the wrong time, yet he is still in prison. People will have their own opinions about this crime, and it is sad that a woman lost her life. But a wonderful mother also lost her son, and an innocent man lost his freedom.
