I was born (1944) and raised in Quitaque. I have so many great memories of the little town. People look out for each other, no need for locks on houses or doors. Its changed now, but back then the deputy sheriff didn't even own a weapon, nor need one. If you got stopped for speeding, he wouldn't write you a ticket, abut worse would tell his good friend, your daddy. Thanks Nook! I could tell a lot of good stories, but no time now.... Bob QHS class of '62 (state basketball tounament '62).
