We have seen all the TV ads, heard all the propaganda over the instore radio and even seen the print ads on the website. Everything says they will match any ad, including buy one get one free(BOGOF) with a sale price and any lower price. The propaganda states that if you find it somewhere cheaper they will give you the difference back. I call it propaganda because at the Kimball location it is a bait and switch--a fraud. For the third time this month I have been told that if it's BOGOF they will ring it at their price(not the ad sale price)for the first and then .01 or .02 for the next. That ain't BOGOF! They must be using the same math as the Democratic White House because that is not what the corporate policy states. Now it does state they don't honor percentage of sales. I understand that. Just look at the policy that sits everywhere in the store, listen to what is said inside the store and even got to the website. We in Marion County are being shafted! Competition is limited and they know it. I have been told by 2 managers on the phone the policy will be honored only to be told when I get there that those managers have no authority over the cashiers.

I am calling for everyone who can to boycott Walmart and go to the other local competitors inside the county, such as Kirkpatricks, Shop Rite, Ingles, Sav A Lot, The Drug Store CVS, Jasper Drug, etc.. Just yesterday I paid .41/gallon less for Mayfield Skim Milk at the Tiftonia Walmart.

Also, Trenton, GA is a trip worth taking. There you can go to BiLo(Doubles Coupons), Food Lion, Ingles(Doubles Coupons), Fred's(Doubles on Saturdays), DG, Family Dollar and CVS.

Shouldn't we do something.

I haven't really been trying to use coupons so much as asking them to abide by the endlessly proclaimed corporate policy of ad matching. That's all. Go to the Walmart corporate website and read very carefully the ad match policy. It doesn't say it is a guideline, but a policy. Speaking of coupons---got any tips.

The ad match policy states they will both match the sale price and the BOGO if that is the competitor's ad. Example: Item regularly 2.50 but on sale elsewhere for 1.90 and then BOGO in the same flyer. They won't honor that.

By the way did you hear Food Lion's history next month?

A little bit ago I had the pleasure of meeting a manager at the Tiftonia Walmart. He was nice and agreed the ad match policy included both the sale price along with a BOGO if in the same print ad. He concluded the conversation by saying "bring those competitor ads by and we match them all day long". He could not understand what had happened during my experience at the Kimball location. In short, I will be testing his statements as soon as the Sunday ads come out. I'll post my results.

That's exactly why I have been taking it to the mat for folks here. I am not the villain here. If you don't have money for the drive to ti then the extra savings from the correct ad matching policy should be a plus. Or are you really an employee just trying to do damage control? I'm just saying you sure are defending paying more than neccessary for neccessities.

I haven't had a problem with them taking my coupons or add matching either. The only complaint that I have is that store is so big and they dont have enough benches (out in the store) I am grateful for the ones they have in the pharmacy but when you have a bad back and joint problems like me and others do it is really a stretch to have to walk per say from the deli all the way over there to the pharmacy to sit down for a few minutes. I wish they would put more benches out in the store please.

I am proud to say that now for the last 2 visits they have matched my ads. Today, however, I found myself educating both a CSM and a cashier who were both gracious and the visit could have so easily gone the other way.

I work at Kimball Wal-Mart and just want to clarify the whole "bogo issue". When someone comes through our line ad matching.... for example laundry detergent. It's $5.99 and they are getting it bogo. We have to ring the first one for 5.98 and then the second one for 0.01. That's the only way we can ring up ad matching deals. we ring up the first one for a penny cheaper, then charge a penny for the second one. We can't ring something up then override it for $0, our computer system will not allow us to do that. We have no control over that either. Home Office is the one who controls that and makes the decisions. We don't make the rules, but we have to go by them.

I had a Midas coupon for an oil change - they are a competitor - and Wally World would not accept the coupon although it met all the criteria.

I have been price matching for a few months now and I have to say that even though it is a little bit of work, it is well worth it. Yes they do mark the first product down a penny and charge a penny for the second product. As for price matching price and B1G1 I am not sure. I am just thankful that I have been able to save the $ that I have and get food for our family. I am not out there to extreme coupon and get everything for free or stock piling for who knows what. I just am trying to feed my family and still have $ to pay bills. Thank you Walmart in Kimball for what you do. Well I am off to Walmart in Kimball to get groceries!!!

I just quit dealing with them. Last month I spent over $500 in groceries and got about $750 worth by going where the deals are and by using my fuelperks(last week I got .20 per gallon of gas) I actually saved money by driving out of county. Publix doubles coupons every day and so does BiLo and what offer each weeks will let you stock up on stuff til it goes back on sale.

In county, I go to Shoprite(Jasper): the Mayfield milk is almost $1.00 cheaper there and you get a card they punch for every gallon bought and after 12 you get 1 free. They have things you can't get at Walmart. Then I go by Ingles while in Jasper, every week they have BOGO and sales galore. Most of their store brands are as good as the name brand and they far surpass WM in the laundry aisle. While I'm up there I stop by CVS and you can get good stuff there.

WM at Kimball has screwed the pooch. The managers are lacking in skills and they are not keping enough cashiers on the clock. The employees are miserable and it affects the service.

It's hard to get the customer service number for WM corporate now from the local WM. So if you have a complaint here it is: 1-800-WALMART.

Don't just blow off steam here call the walmart line. Maybe things will improve.

P.S.

I go to Sam's and the other locations but not to Kimball.

I agree with Barbar. Walmart in Kimball has definitely lost my business. We went to get groceries and spent 45 minutes just checking out because they had to look up every ad. Then said that they could only price match up to 35 miles but Tiftonia and Scottsboro Walmarts both say 50. I dont know what is going on there but I have decided that I would not go back there to get my stuff...so sad that they have ran it in the ground...

when you go to the walmart make sure you have your ads with you and also print out walmart's price match policy and take it with you. when they see it in writing they have to abide by it.
