Think of what a great little town this could be without all of these housing projects...would eleminate a lot of problems
yes it would

It would eliminate about 98% of the problems.

Ship the people and the projects out.

That wouldn't do anything except make the people you speak of homeless. Then your problems would REALLY start. What we DO need is a drug rehab facility. That would straighten out these pill poppin', deadbeat parents and make them start raising and parenting those little government checks playing in the front yard. Cure the addiction, and you will watch most of this community's problems begin to fade away.

I have to say that some of you people are very ignorent. It is sad to say but I live in the projects. I am not a drug dealer or user. I am not stupid or uneducated. I lost my job in this ecomomy and had no family of no where else to go. I was not about to be homeless with my child. One time I was like most of you that are complaining. I had a great job and a great life, making over 100 thousand a year. I just hope and pray that you never have to go through losing your home, car and your wonderful life. It just really makes my BLOOD BURN when I see the things posted like this. Not everyone in the projects does drugs, because some of us had no other choice but to live here.

you are right i too live in the projests and i DO NOT do drug or deal them, i too had a good life and lost my life that i had before this, they are bad apples every where, the projects, the so call prefect world where you own your ownen home how many of those homes was bought and paid for from sale of drugs, maybe your neighbor is a drug dealer, maybe you are. it's not right to judge others by what a neighbor may do. look how many that lives in that prefect world gets behind the wheel of their car drunk and may kill some one by the use of their drug. i was out one night and i heard of woman that i know that is very very well off say that she can't drive unless she is high on pot or pills. so not everyone that lives in the project is a drug user or drug dealer. people need to stop being the judge of others.

Some people just do not get that all drug dealers are not in the projects... I know plenty that are from wealthy from good homes and familys who deal so go figure. Maybe we should run them out of town? Its just stupid people who do not know any better.

Take a proactive approach, people. Those of you who live in the projects, make it the way it was in the early years when drugs were really unheard of. If your neighbors are dealing drugs or taking drugs go on the forum here called list you local meth lab, its not just for meth. Give car, people descriptions, and comings and goings. The police are watching these pages, it's a way to give a tip without leaving your real name. There is a saying: "All it takes for evil to succeed is for good people to do nothing." If you try then it will be on the police and no longer on you. Good day all.

As much as I agree with you, it's unfortunate that in today's society someone who did this would be labelled a narc and looked down upon. Never mind the fact that they are doing so to clean up their own neighborhood or make it a little safer.

what can be done to the ones that have money? they buy their way out of it or think they are above the law and they can't be touched. what do you do about those drug users, they even have children in the home with them. they are alot of people like that. i know of some and i don't see how they are aloud to have children because they are not there in the head from all the years that they have done drugs 30+ years. something needs to be done about all of it, not just the poor people, it would cost the county some money, we need the dea here to help clean up our county, and get some money off of the rich, show them that they are not above the law. it makes me so very angry to see these people get away with everything. yes i am poor now. like i said not all poor people are drug users or dealers. so watch out for friends and the rich they are just as much or more so of being a drug user or dealer. this topix has realy got my blood a boiling, i would love to name names but this is a small town. the ones that i would name would do something thats how dirty these rich people are.

I think what folks are losing sight of is the fact that the rich people you speak of aren't being provided with low income or free housing paid for by city and/or county taxes. They at least earn their way. I'm not saying what they do is right but at least I'm not paying for their house and food so they can take what they earn and go get high.

so you support drugs if you are rich, the ones i know did not earn their money it's hand me down money and from sales of coke, so you support them, what about all the young children being sold drugs from these kinds of people, you think it's alright to get high because you have money? i do not support drugs for rich or poor. the ones i talk about the lie on their taxes so they don't have to pay what the owe, they don't report the cash that they get from rent, lie to get money from lost of corps that they do not plant. the rich not all lie to get money from your govorment. you say they have the right to use tax payers to do what they do. i pay rent my rent, is not free, i pay power, my power is not free. i don't think i'm better than than anyone, i just had a bad break, and i will get my life back, i do not receive any check from our govment, i work but i don't get paid much just enough that keeps me from being homeless, if i miss one pay check i'm one step closer to being homeless. i do not have children. thats one good thing about being in my shoes, that they won't become homeless when i do. people need to wake up and see that the projects do help alot of people like me.

"so you support drugs if you are rich"
That sounds exactly like what I said except thats not what i said at all. The only thing I said about drugs is that the rich you speak of aren't being provided government assistance while they do them. And it doesn't matter WHERE their money comes from, it's still THEIR money. I care less what you do, rich or poor, as long as I'm not supporting it. Damn, not only are you broke you're illiterate too.
You talk about all the lying cheating rich people, I guess everyone that lives in the projects are fine, upstanding people and do no wrong. Open your eyes, its the same sh-t just on a different scale. Regardless of if you sell food stamps to buy meth or lie on your taxes about your millions.

You are the person who brought up drug dealers living in the projects. You are also the only one who said the words "stupid or uneducated". You are the only one who said people in the projects do drugs. They said the projects need to go. I said the projects need to stay, and let's build a rehab for the people around here who want it and need it, because that would a lot of the community's problems. You are the only one who brought up the things you are so pissed about. Nobody is ridiculing you so chill out. Why don't you try reading the full comments before you go spewing shit out of your mouth.

UM... You really need to learn how to spell or stop being so lazy. Must be one of the "gangstas" living in the projects.

Now, not ALL the people who live in low income housing are bad people, I know a few really good people who just fell on hard time. However, the vast majority are leaches on society's back. And yes, alot of worthless people live in houses, sell and do drugs- both poor and rich. MAYBE if we would get some more "duty minded" police officers things could get cleaned up. But instead we have our PD's staffed with people too scared to do their jobs for fear of losing their job after arresting the "wrong person" or are afraid of actually having to deal with some of these little wanna-be thugs.
