Wow. How could they get by without campaigning in the South?! 9 electoral votes up for grabs. Sounds like a Democrat presidential candidate never has won Alabama. Ohio has 20. A Republican has NEVER been President without winning MY state. I knew Romney was rolling the dice up against a buckeye tree here.

That one yard sign must've belonged to a closet Republican. LOL!!! Probaly has a big picture of W. hanging on the closet wall.

Wow. I can't imagine what it must've been like to see only Romney TV ads.

But being a speech writer for a USA president would sure be cool. I wondeer how to apply. outlaw you'd be great at it. Just look at your Topix posts. Need I say more? Which modern day or future candidate would you like to write for? Romney could've used some of your one-liners.
Speaking of the 'Triple K boys'. I think I just coined a new phrase. Of course, I'm referring to the KKK. The Ku Klux Klan. Let's play 'Hardball'. I heard a historian say that they were formed by the D-E-M-O-C-R-A-T-I-C Party as a revenge against Lincoln freeing the slaves.
Yup. See how they re-write history?
The ONLY up-side to Obama winning a second term is four more years of listening to Biden shoot himself in the foot (verbally).
Can you imagine BIDEN in charge; making a speech as some important world summit?
World War III. You KNOW he'd insult SOMEBODY important.
And with Obama reducing our military defense and deterrent capabilities - how do you think that would turn out?
We'd be like France in WWII - immediate surrender. Who would liberate us?
Finland?

Write him a long-form letter.

Tell him how much Canada loves him up there.

He'll keep it in mind as they re-map North and South America into one big super land.

Funny you should mention the possible spin-off sitcom 'Biden In Charge'. I started the following thread 2 months before the election this year. You know, he may actually run in 2016.

Should Biden Have Been The President?

In all seriousness on the foreign affairs issue. And I do sincerfely hope that Barry doesn't get caught having a foreign affair while in office. Remember though, he did get documented in that photo apparantly showing him checking out an underage foreign female's behind. But in all seriousness. He did get Osama Bin Laden. I think I remember him saying in the debates that the way the state of the military is today is why he is re-structuring -- or reducing -- it. But Israel may strike at Iran anytime now. Obama says he is with them if they need us. But, in my opinion, they (i.e. Benjamin Netanyahu) have seemed uneasy about him having their back ever since he got the first term. We need the Jedis from Star Wars. Or the Ninja and the Samurai of medieval Japan. By the way, I just noticed the "yahu" in Netanyahu is like "Yahoo!". And a closer look shows the "net" as the first 3 letters. Internet? Net an Yahoo! Hmmmmm. And the first name. Benjamin. Could be code for "been jammin'". So, it's Been Jammin' on the Net and Yahoo! Oh my gosh. We broke the code. Whatever you do. Do not tell Mahmoud Ahmadinejad!!!

Currently I'm with AOL - and have been since 1998.
Although their buying the uber-left wing Huffington Post has had me considering changing that.
Huff Post is to the Liberals what they claim Fox is to the Conservatives.
Meaning - if one is extreme and biased in one direction only; the other is the same.
And I KNOW that's true of Huff Post.
Never saw one-sided news of Fox. One-sided opinions and editorials; yes. But news and commentary has always tried (not always successfully, but their record is better than Huff or MSNBC) to be balanced.
Huff is left only. Only left. No other direction exists.
Which explains why our country is circling down the drain. Circles left.

Thank you. A real AOL veteran. Pushing 15 years. Good thing they don't have term limits. Saw a AOL reference, as an example, in the Topix FAQ in the section about making sure a confirmation email is not being caught as SPAM or Junk Mail. Sounds like Topix kinda endorses AOL email for sign up on Topix.

Did you ever feel funny about having to give out your birth date and other stuff like your name to sign up for AOL? Topix requires no name but requires birth date and stuff. I think I mentioned this to Stan and Kyle on another thread today. Thought I'd tell you too. I think I felt funny about signing up because I didn't feel good about Topix knowing my name. ONLY because in my 1st year on Topix, I made some silly posts on an adult-oriented thread and some other threads. Nothing bad. Just stupid. But I got to thinking. Almost all of the people signed up to Topix have probaly made some dumb posts at one point or other or eventually will. And Topix could probaly care less about my past stupid posts. They probaly never even noticed them anyway. I can't believe I'm letting that hold me back.

Saw something one time about AIM mail from AOL. Not sure if that's a desktop program. I'm only kinda familiar with web-based email right now. Don't know how to do the whole downloading mail thing yet.

Speaking of term limits. Joe Biden for example. Guy was a Senator since 1972 before he became VP in '08! Then there's Strom Thurmond! 48 years! If the Congress saw fit to limit the presidency to two four-year terms, than why in the world didn't they impose that regulation upon their own selves? They need to take their own medicine. Or am I wrong on this, guys? Or repeal presidential term limits. Can you imagine no more presidential term limits? Reagan could've went for a 3rd. Maybe a 4th. But the Alzheimer's may have prevented that. But Clinton. Maybe he could've went for a 3rd or a 4th. But the 'affair' and Impeachment in the 2nd term may have prevented that. The only downside may be that we might not have got some of the Presidents we had without term limits. A Reagan 3rd term might have stopped a George H.W. Bush presidency . A Clinton 3rd term may have stopped a George W. Bush presidency. I would love to see George W. Bush in a 4th term win right now. But then there would be no trace of a Barack Obama presidency, at least until 2016. Hmmmmm. Obama would've been older and wiser. Wow. All kinds of scenarios and possibilities at play here.

And just why would repeat such nonsense. I get the feeling this is in response to the recent allegations of racism among tea partiers and the republican party. Although the KKK was created by several brothers from Tennessee the first Grand Wizard was none other than Nathan Bedford Forrest, remember Forest Gump, and all proud members of the Republican Party. Personally, I would think anyone with any common sense whatsoever would know the republican party is all about old white men. Actually getting very close to being put on the endangered species list, and it's either change right now or go extinct, and I don't think they can change. Hatred is just too ingrained within them. So much hatred they still aren't willing to accept the results of the election, and exactly why people are turning against them. I hate to see poor attempts to mislead others in the name of politics. Just imagine a Presidential candidate leasing a ranch named Ni**erhead, I can't even spell it here without it being offensive, and actually believing it wouldn't come up in an election, or that it wouldn't matter. If that isn't out of touch with reality I don't know what is.

Oh. You dropped Yahoo and Juno?

Here's something nice on AOL email I found in a Google search ...

"How do I create a free AOL Mail email address"
http://help.aol.com/help/microsites/search.do...

That was really nice of AOL to put that info out there. A walk through guide of the actual sign up process from first to last step. Because if you just go to the sign up page, you just get empty blocks to type in fields of "First Name", "Last Name", "Pick an email address", "Password", and a 'Next' button to click. That walk through guide allows us to know that AOL will expect more info after clicking that 'Next' button. In fact, they come right out and call it personal info. Such as "Date of Birth", "Gender", "Zip Code", pick a "Security Question" and "Answer", and an optional "Alternate email address". I don't think the other biggies (Gmail, Yahoo!, Hotmail) are nice enough to put out a walk through guide.

Hey lastoutlaw, when you first got hooked up with AOL back in 1998, did they require all that personal info ... birthdate, gender, and zip code? Since I never used email back in the day I'm just wondering how it has evolved over time. And do you ever wonder why a sign up requires knowing things like birthdate, gender, and zip code? I noticed Topix's registration page asks for birthdate, gender, and zip code. I figure more than likely it has something to do with marketing sales ads at us based on age group, being male or female, and location.

All that said, I wonder what service provider the President is with? I know there is no such thing as KOL -- Kenya Online. At least I don't think there is. Maybe he's with YaaHooo!!! Why can I picture a Biden smile when thinking "YaaHoo!!!". Or "G" mail. I have a feeling he's with Hot-mail. ;-)

Speaking of what email is used. I wonder what Stan and Kyle uses?

Hey I got an idea for a new thread. Called "Dear Mr. President," and we posters can post remarks and questions for Obama. Remember the 'Dear Abby' column in newspapers? Who knows? Maybe, just maybe word about it would get to him and he'd come on and say a thing or 2.

Hmmmmm. You must be surrounded in Crap. Intersesting. Very interesting. You seem to imply that there is some Crap that you do want. Hey, Mr. Hankey, I know where you can store all that Christmas Poo! LOL!!!

If you don't want it, why do you get it? That's a lot of clutter. Email hoarder issues? Are you just too nice of a South Park resident to turn it down? I heard Crap makes great fertilizer.

Seems to me that I can recall a email service provider named "Crap". Google it ... just a little bit ... why don't you Google it ... just a little bit? To find out. Then you can have all Crap sent to your Crap box.

Then what you are waiting for?! Get that Topix account with Gmail or Yahoo. HA! You already have a great user name. Terrence and Philip. HA! No, but I can picture you going by "Stan and Kyle" or "S&K" and your avatar photo of the two. Me, I'm stupid "anonymous california". What a lousy user name!

Dare I ask what you use for the Crap you do want?

That's some helpful advice.

Of course, if I understand it right, you could always mark certain emails as "junk" so that that future ones are regarded as spam and end up in your junk spam box instead of your inbox. And then you could trash them all. But I like your idea. And if I know you, you probaly somehow have those particular Gmail and Yahoo accounts, that are relegated as your official email junkyards, registered while using a ip change up. They'll never market location appropriate ads to you. LOL!!! Oh, man. You are a genius!

Reading between the lines, I kinda think you may be implying that Gmail and Yahoo sell people's email address to third parties. But you were probaly talking about the stores doing it instead.

That's one thing you wouldn't have to worry about if you sign up to Topix. They say that they'll never ever sell personal info like that to third parties.

Plus you wouldn't want your email address to end up written with a permanent marker or carved on the wall of a public restroom with the message of "For A Good Time, email ...". HA!

S&K, since you are a confessed Gmail user, you would probaly know the answer to this question.

I've been on their site and I've also been Google searching. Like, right after the sign up process and the user thinks that he or she is all done and just clicked the button for the next step to create the account, but instead they may next ask for a mobile phone number to be typed in. Then they send a code in a phone call. The user then gets the code and types it into the sign up.

Do they require a mobile phone number to activate their Gmail email accounts? Or does that activation requirement only happen if the user doesn't give an alternate email? Please note that I'm not talking about giving a mobile phone number for password recovery, although that is a optional step within the sign up page.

I do not remember. However when at stores they want a phone number to identify me for warranties ect. I only use a cell and do not have a home phone any more. I give the the correct number , except for the last digit. I change that to 1. No BS marketing calls ever and I can remember it when needed.

That sounds weird. I'd think you would want identified for warranties.

Leaving off one number. Is that so you can always say you accidently gave the wrong number if they tell you in the store they keep trying to reach you? Clever. Very clever. You need to write the handbook on ways to avoid Big brother

Speaking of being I-D-E-N-T-I-F-I-E-D ?!?!?!...

One of my nephews got freaked out at school the other day. They were talking about a required microchip implant under the human skin to take part in ObamaCare and related it to the mark of the Beast and the Anti-Christ. 666 in Revelation chapter 13. It says nobody will be able to buy or sell unless they have the mark or the name of the Beast. People have always tried to say each world leader is that figure. And that doesn't necessarily mean a microchip implant ID is the mark 666. Or does it?! On a side note. Weird. They say a microchip implant will only work in the human body if placed directly into the forehead or right hand. And that's also what the prophesy says about the mark 666. Here's a fun fact. How did the Bible know thousands of years ago that the number of mankind is 6? In modern times, scientists have learned that mankind is made up of carbon and 6 is the number for carbon. S&K, please don't tell me that last digit of your mobile phone number is really 6?! HA!
