This is how is starts, the end of our freedom. We are just cutting away the pieces off our right of freedom of speech.

This is wrong on so many levels.

I don't swear nor should others in public. However, their should be no restrictions on our rights. Although its a proclamation, and nothing more, its still no business of any government body to tell us how to express ourselves.

With the leadership you have around here, this comes as no surprise. The scary thing is so many bad trends tend to start in California and then sweep across the country. What next? No sex in your home for a week with the police allowed to search your premises with a warrant? Certainly a total gun ban can't be far off.

I think this particular proclamation is a test, to see how the public will react. From what I hear of this area, nobody will do a thing. Then they'll take the next step.

Freedom of speech shouldn't be a political issue. Both parties have been hacking away it lately. Bush with the Patriot Act and Obama and the FCC trying to regulate the internet. Obama also promised to repeal the Patriot Act. Then again he promised a lot of things.
