After all the comments posted on the issue this is the best justification PSN can come up with for supporting Measure CC? Pretty sad editorial comment. Did Frank take a vacation?

By all means, reward poor performance and poor management by taxing yourselves and giving more to those that have been so ineffective. After all, how is the district supposed to get by on a mere 200 million? Forget that they already spend approximately 20% more per student than the Statewide average and if test results improve, well they might even move out of the bottom 50% of school districts statewide?

As the wise Editors suggest, why not tax those rich "mansion", "apartment" and "commercial" owners at a much higher rate, it's always better if we can get someone else to pay for it.

I suggest we tax businesses that have drawn upon our local community for their profits for years....you know, a business like the Tribune. Heck we could charge a .5 cent per year subscription tax......let's see that would give us an additional 5 or 10 dollars.

Oh that sucking sound, it is the last breath of the dying print news industry here in the SG Valley.

Wow - I'm so pleased to see support for PUSD and for CC from the Star News! I hope this will encourage more people to vote yes on CC, and to heed the call to volunteer in the schools. I volunteer at my son's school, and it is endlessly rewarding. Those kids need us all, and they appreciate it more than you can imagine.

I don't have kids, and I can't afford for the crooks at PUSD to steal $10 a month from me. NO on the ZZZZ Best parcel tax. And counselors should be neutral about telling kids to go to college. College does not come with a job guarantee, and you cannot default on a student loan.

Now that Obama and the Dems have snuck the student loan federal government takeover into law with Obamacare, student loan defaults will become history. Obama will forgive these loans for the "under-priviledged and those joining his civilian army". These minor events, however, will go unreported in the media like PSN. This all occurred while everyone was watching the Measure CC local news.

How many kids are really in AP classes(there are so many that can't even read at grade level!)?It seems MORE kids would benefit from smaller class sizes at ALL schools at EVERY grade level especially when there are a lot of disruptive kids in the classrooms.

Why does PUSD have the largest classroom sizes in the county when it spends a higher-than-average amount of dollars per pupil?

Could it be because so much of the money PUSD spends goes to support an infrastructure (both in terms of buildings and personnel) which it may have needed once upon a time, but now no longer needs, instead of spending that money on teachers?
And now it wants to lay off more teachers?

NO PARCEL TAX UNTIL PUSD DEMONSTRATED IT CAN GET ITS PRIORITIES STRAIGHT!

Well then to make room, get all the disruptive kids out of there and put them in one of those "alternative" schools. We used to call them bad-boy schools, or the district's version of juvy.
