I think this project is great! This freeway (or parkway) really needs it. Gosh finally!

I'm hoping that at the grand re-opening they'll close down the freeway and let us walk/bike it from Pasadena to downtown like they did a number of years back.

My mom always told us to "go play on the freeway" and I finally got too! Sadly, that may be my best memory ever!!!(Gawd...I really need a life....)

Gee - I've only been waiting since 1965 for the connection of the Long Beach freeway (then called the 7) to the Foothill freeway (then known as the 30)... and this is a step forward??
Sure the Pasadena freeway needs the facelift 7 maintenance - but San Gabriel Valley commuters have needed the connection of the 710 to the 210 for 45 years!

Hey, Joe - were you at the state highway commission hearings in '65,'67, 70, or '73?

Remember the froth-at-the-mouth South Pas residents who didn't want a freway through "their" neighborhood? Didn't giva a d**m about the El Sereno or Alhambra folks, but OH GOD - WE PASADENANS ARE SPECIAL!!!! Yessirree!!

Don't hold your breath.

Don't confuse Pasadenans with South Pasadenans. SP are the elitist scum that don't want the 710.

Didn't mean to offend, Laterz - it HAS been 40+ years, and at my age, the lines get blurred - but you are ABSOLUTELY correct about it being South Pasadena... that much I DO remember! Thanks.
