We would like to thank the principal and vice principal of st Bruno in assisting us in reaching max capacity of our schools. With your behavior over the last eight months we now have waiting lists to get into our schools. You have made our job so much easier. We have all your children that you caused to depart from your school. Thanks to your families we all are in the black for next year. You two our are best recruiters. Again thank you
We will have an extremely peaceful summer and no financial worries either

Now that this is the last day of school for parents and teachers alike, feel free to give us your real names and continue to enlighten our daily morning read with what you had to deal with these past months. Many of us that are long gone from the school & church are truly sad today to see how a handful of people can destroy so much. For those that are staying - good luck, for those that have moved on, this must be a bittersweet day.

It sounds as if the truths are finally being voiced. The teachers that have decided not to return after 10-20 years of service. This really tells parents that st Bruno is in a downward spiral. We had our children in this school for a reason good administration and good teachers. The administration now has a proven track record. This track record speaks for itself. It speaks of lousy leadership and befriending those that need financial support or a pat on the back to those thst wished they had authority elsewhere.

Look at your teaching staff versus the previous five years. It looks like a minor league team bayou have three or four quality veterans and the rest inexperienced rookies. I hope the veterans are able to keep it together but most of the time a team like this fails. Don't expect much this upcoming year as the veteran teachers will be looking for new contracts elsewhere.

The church will be having an extra collection next Sunday to help offset the financial disaster of Carvahlo Land. The church may not send money to assist third world countries since the principal and vice principal took control of the school it is now poorer than a third world country. Carvahlo Land is now offering more financial assistance great program leaderd

Anyone think that the Archdiocese isnt doing anything because its an opportunity to close a school due to lack of students and reduce some debt knowing that there are plenty of local catholic schools in the area with openings for the students?

I believe it all comes down to Father Reardon's lack of leadership skills. He's shown his passive aggressive style in making changes to the carnival, the ministries and personnel. He has his manager take care of the daily dirty work because he can't do it himself. Asking a direct question that he is uncomfortable with will get a run around answer or even a lie, rarely a direct or thoughtful response. When he hired Catherine Carvalho he thought he was getting a bookend to his office manager. Someone that would make changes regardless of what the community needed.

This is when his failure as a leader became apparent as Catherine's personal baggage and even worse administrative skills became apparent. He is unable to take control of the fiasco or even begin to shoulder his responsibility as our pastor.

As our parish and school community suffer horribly the archdiocese won't do a thing. If they do then they will have to take up what Father Reardon can't handle. It is better for them to let the worst happen and then sweep in as saviors.

Where was Carvahlo and Conrad? Rumor has it they were hiding in Carvahlo' office. Show how she tries to lead from behind.

Carvahlo you are the worst and you prove it every day. Hey where is the chief of security. I have not seen her since she misbehaved. I'm sure Carvahlo will bring her back over summer. Citrustree was out of control today. Bring back security and the music teacher the grandparents are running amuck.

The Archdiosce is not doing anything because they are doing what they know best; burying their head in the sand and pretending nothing is wrong. This fiasco has caused many families to leave SBS and go to secular schools as well as Catholic schools that are out of counties which equals less money in the LA Archdiosce coffers.

What could be an issue with printing report cards? Another mystery at St. Bruno! Are you kidding me! I have never seen or heard of more dysfunction in one school. The report cards should have been ready and checked last week!!!! Maybe they couldn't afford printer ink!

When Bruno get their new iPads next year they will be able to adjust the report cards. Not. St Bruno had trouble making payroll this year. Report cards, ink, printers, and iPads are the least of the worries. Remember they are still dealing with litigation. You principal and vice principal will be in court most of next year.

I've never seen a bigger bunch of whiney, crybaby parents in my life! If you don't like what's happening at St. Bruno's, GO TO ANOTHER SCHOOL! Do you people have nothing better to do than visit a meaningless blog to bitch and moan about the school's principal? You're just a bunch of chubby housewives pushing 50 years old and it's killing you that the principal at this Catholic elementary school is better looking and in better shape than you are. You're all a bunch of haters and you need to get a life. If you spent as much time in the gym as you do trolling this stupid blog, maybe you're husbands would pay more attention to you.
WOW! You really don't get it. Besides, it is YOUR hate that really comes thru in your response. What does a well run school have anything to do with the physical figure of a principal. Your lack of any class is clearly evident by your choice of words. It was the disruption of the many lives that this leadership created that people are upset about. Believe me, the people you are talking about ARE going to other schools. And as for your comment on husbands, really? Do you not have anything to say on the topic so you choose to ramble and insult. It is called freedom of speech. People want freedom from this bad situation but would like to have said their peace.Grant them that. Any decent person with an open mind could understand that. Whatever side you have chosen to defend is your right. It is not your fight but it is your choice who to side with.A word of advice,if you want to be heard, be worth hearing. Insults show ignorance and tune people out of your message. Besides,When it is all said and done, the only judge that counts is God.

What a painful day all around. For those leaving I wish you all well and hope you and your families find the happiness that you once enjoyed at St.Brunos. For those who are staying, I hope things get back on the right track and the kids can learn in an environment free from the drama that plagued us this year. Enjoy your summer everyone. Time too be calm and move on.

Ciao
Thank you

Kudos to Ms. Carvalho and Ms. Conrad!

You had the courage, grace, and wisdom to stand up to the indignant, disrespectful, unprofessional and gossiping group of faculty in your staff. You have made history at St. Bruno by doing what previous administration was not able to do... Effect change for the better without being intimidated or forced to leave by bullying tactics of certain faculty members and parents. You are respected and admired for your ability to stand up for what is good and right. Your supporters are everywhere but typically don't post on this site for obvious reasons. We are here and we support you!

Ok - let's get down to reality. When there are no staff meetings, no democratic discussions, innocent children being expelled, teachers ( with excellent service) being written up, aides and teachers ( and parents) being asked to be snitches, no accessibility to administration as they are not there, long serving VPs being demoted, more people in the front office than aides in the classroom,- oh I could go on and on- then you will understand the revolt of parents and staff to this disgusting mess of a school. I can't imagine paying money for this! There have been 9 principals in the last 20 years and the school was the most popular in the deanery. So who is to blame?? Not the staff I beg to suggest.!
