GOOD FOR THIS KID! This is such a problem in Altadena as well. Every day I see two or more cats pop up that people have left when they move. We are working with Fix Nation to help get these cats fixed but as soon as you get one fixed, it seems 2 more pop up. FIX your cats and dogs people! Please!

Hoping the nutcase "TNR" activists don't read this... poor kid if they do. He's doing the right thing, "TNR" is not.
("TNR" = "Trap, Neuter, and (re)Release", rather than place in homes)

Good for Christian and for the vets at TLC!
We've trapped, neutered and tamed ferals for 40 years. Almost invariably, in a patient and loving home, they turn into grateful and affectionate lapcats within a short time.
Right now, we have 6 former ferals ranging from just under 2 years to 14 years old. They are only the most recent of many who would have died of starvation, disease or predators if they had not been rescued and who would have been put down had them been turned in to a "shelter."
Please, anyone who has the patience to work with one of these animals, call Christian or one of the many local rescue organizations who specialize in feral colonies and adopt.
If you feel you need to start with a more domesticated pet, take pity on the huge number that have been turned in as people have lost their jobs and homes. Go to the local Humane Society or SPCA and adopt a pet that no longer has his or her family.
