Employee layoffs pending in El Monte

Full story: San Gabriel Valley Tribune

More than 30 city employees could be laid off, including police officers, in the coming months if their unions don't agree to postpone pay raises and continue unpaid furloughs, city manager Rene Bobadilla said Tuesday.

Oh Goody, this is a interesting mix, 2006 Measure P threat of potential layoffs of 31 people, last year over 117 people laid off or gone or still doing their jobs for free hoping to get their jobs back to now.
Rene "build the transit center no what " Bombadilla stating we almost went bankrupt last year, well less than a year ago, Emily who was chided for giving police bad information, now saying "Rene will tell them this" I saw the city has applied for some sort of justice grant, probably why the POA is not absolutely screaming at this point. But it looks like the middles of both have caved in for the greater good of keeping their jobs and the two giants POA and SEIU like inbred cousins are still fighting for that non existant pay increase which was coerced out the the council anyway several years back.
Now thirty more employees will go? Mr. Quintero is the cool head in this. He is the mayor, I value his opinion. The city council better quit this 4 to one crap, 3 of the members are remnants of the same council minus a drunk mayor that couldn't speak english (bless his heart) that got us to the point of bankruptcy before. Not to mention the entrapment by our city manager in Pomona, who aquired bad habits from our redevelopment agency.
But hey who is the new finance manager, I heard he has great credentials, lets see what he says
Mr. Quinero "is the cool head?" I'm not sure.

If you go on the attorney general's website and check for registered charities/non-profits and the IRS web page and check for non-profits, you'll find glaringly missing:

emclp.com & emclp.org

Founded in 2004, the emclp has yet to register. Why? They say he's a lawyer--then, why so difficult to register as a non-profit. Everyone else has to--why not him and his ilk?

By the way, at one of his Tamaladas, the guests/attendees were told to make out thier
checks to the Rio Hondo College Foundation.

How can this be allowed?

You are living in Fantasyland. They never cut from the top. Look at the school districts in El Monte, they are so top ignorant free loaders, fat cats, retirees, morons, leeches who take from the kids to live in their luxurious homes with maids from mexico while the administrators ration paper, pencils, crayons, books, and whatever else our kids need in the classrooms.

The fat cats of the city and the school districts are shameless and if you believe they will cut from the top, you are definitely in Fantasyland.

Take it from someone who knows. Ask the young teachers and the classified personnel and the hard working city people who are at the bottom, ask the nurses, the noon school supervisors, the custodians, the warehouse clerks, ask them! They will tell you how they got cut while the blood suckers on the top are getting fatter and older and richer.

Ask any hardworking good employee of the city and of the school district who are losing their homes while the fat cats live up in the hills of covina, San marino, rancho cucamonga, la canada in the two story homes with pools.

Fantasyland that's all it is. Cut from the top??????? Oh, ok, I'll write a letter to santa and ask him to pay my mortgage because I can't because I got pink slipped. I'll ask the easter bunny to buy my groceries. Or, better yet, maybe one of the fat cats will let me stay with them! Fantasyland

F A N T A S Y L A N D !!!!! if it were
Conscience land, they would be gone. Change the name of El Monte to Fantasyland, that covers the city and the school district. With two Goofy's at the lead! Problem is seymour the goofy is smart enough to keep his daughter working and his secretarys daughter working. Guess it is not their fault they were born in to the Fantasyland Family of these people. The other poor souls who got pink slipped are just hard workers who weren't as lucky to have good ole mom and pop to keep them working at the expense of other employees and their families and who cares if those people lose their jobs, they have mommie and daddy to keep them working.

AND... PAUL BUNNEL is also on a contract with the El Monte city school district to do NOTHING.He is supposed to be the guy in charge of disaster preparedness. What a joke, the guy sits on his butt.Ask him how many schools he visited in the last drill.

Oh yes, we forgot he was at the main headquarters in the food service warehouse having a catered lunch, but, he's on a contract, seymour made sure of that. the schools were all working and doing what they should be doing while the headquarters were eating.

hey, voters, you voted for those board members to vote yes to all the consultant contracts. El Monte pd even gets a chunk of the money when seymour and the board members vote yes to give them consultant contracts. what to know where the money is going? ask to see all the consultant contracts at both the PD and the school district. it is supposed to be public knowledge, call for the contracts, make them public, check out the lady called Nan, seymours buddy who bores the teachers, check out her contract. now come on people, seymour says there is no money. the city says there is no money.what are they paying the consultant contracts with? pesos? beans? Wake up people. They are robbing the tax payers blind and the city council and the board members are useless. anyone who runs for these two and who are backed by seymour and weldon will win, they HAVE to in order to keep the weldons and the seymours and their consultant buddies rich.

Plus most of them only work one day out of the week AND they have secretaries who are there every day doing their work, yet, they get paid AND they get newly decorated offices that were decorated by none other than retired chief of police mr. weldon, yessiree, his siter in law is the Interior Decorator for the El Monte city school district. How is that for the good old word NEPOTISM! Oh yes, there is more, they get district phones and the district pays their cell phone bill. They get a bill every month they are supposed to reimburse the district IF they have personal calls. of course they have NO personal calls, they are hard working honest people, and bears don't poop in the forest.

WHAT? How can this be with so many getting pink slipped! What do these people do? The district can't manage without them? This is ROBBERY! You people are STEALING! All of you people who's names are listed are STEALING! Especially the retirees! LET IT GO PEOPLE! You retired! Let the money that they spend on you go to get the employees their jobs back! You are DOUBLE DIPPING, from your retirement, social security, medi-cal, plus you get consultant fees! YOU ARE STEALING! You had your life, you did your job (well some of you did) Give it up! No wonder the district is in trouble! No wonder so many are losing their jobs just so these people can get more money? I just don't get it! Something is definitely wrong here. I think I'm going to call the State department, this is so wrong! Seymour you need to retire. NO! NO! Sorry I said that, then you will be back as a consultant. Get a life people, stop being so GREEDY! OMG! No wonder the kids are losing programs, music, art, drama, field trips, books, supplies, just so these people can STEAL? HORRIBLE, SO HORRIBLE... I HOPE EVERYONE IN EL MONTE READS THIS AND STARTS GOING TO THE BOARD MEETINGS AND COUNCIL MEETINGS. SHAME ON EVERY ONE OF YOU ON THIS LIST! OUR POOR KIDS, THE POOR EMPLOYEES WHO ARE LOSING THEIR JOBS BECAUSE OF ALL OF YOU! SHAMEFUL! DARN RIGHT SHAMEFUL!
