Drinking and driving is not an offense that warrants the death penalty, nor is texting, or being momentarily distracted by a child in the back seat. The fact remains, if not for these so called "medians", I am familiar with them, they are more like bulworks, this young girl would still be alive. Anon, if you would like to debate this up close and personal, by all means, get back to me, I'm local.
WRONG!!! Drunk drivers kill innocent people every day. Fortunately, in this case, this dumbazz who chose to drink and drive killed herself and not some innocent person.

I'd like to see YOU face the parent of a child who was killed by a drunk driver and explain to that parent that drunk driving is not an offense that warrants the death penalty.

The median didn't cause her to drink alcohol. The median didn't cause her get behind the wheel and drive while intoxicated.

SOBER drivers navigate around those medians every single day. I should know, I'm local too, and I navigate those medians every day.

Honestly, I can't believe the ignorance of some people!

Wrong. People stupid enough to do those things while driving deserve to die, especially if it can happen without hurting anyone else. Too often, they hurt others while walking away without a scatch.
People stupid enough to text & drive will hopefully die before procreating, so they don't pass on their stupidity.
Shame on you jr., for walking over a dead persons grave.

I never cease to be taken aback when confronted by therational of a dseased mind. Knowing full well that friends and family of the deceased read these comments, you post your vile trash. By your rational every inexperienced kid that has ever made a mistake ought to die? What an idiotic thing to post. Tell me what it is like to have never made a mistake. YOU are a mean spirited person, and Karma is a bitch so be mindful of the nastieness that is in your heart...

So sad. Marcus was also taught by his worthless parents to be a victim. "It's not your fault, Marcus. Always blame the other guy."

Shame on them!

The fact of the matter is she is not the only person who has died because of drunk driving and she will not be the last. I do hope her friends and family do read these post so maybe seeing what she did was idiotic and something should be done to prevent anyone else in their lives from doing it. If she would have killed someone and survived she justifiably would have gotten vehicular manslaughter and 2nd degree murder which would have probably put her in jail for 25 to life. So yes it could be punishable by death, just to clear that up as well.

I never met Britney, I've only ever seen pictures or posts from some highschool friends after her death. They were so obviously in love with her. Even though I did not know her personally I am sitting here crying for all of the people who did. I can't believe over half of the things that have been posted on here. I really just wanted to say that even though I don't know you Britney, I could tell you we're a wonderful person and touched soo many lives. Don't stop.

That's because Mommy & Daddy obviously taught you that it's never your fault. You don't have to be responsible for your actions.

That's OK. There are a lot of worthless, POS parents out there who raise their kids that way.

Used to live a few doors down from the crash site. Very glad to be away for there and the Mar Vista st freeway. It was a noisy, car fume nightmare. Also saw a 2 am motorcycle and car crash because of the median while packing up to leave ( no deaths).

It wasn't "becuase of the medians".

That sounds as stupid as newscasters who talk about how many car accidents the "rain caused".

Medians and rain do not CAUSE accidents. Idiots behind the wheel cause accidents. Contrary to what your folks obviously taught you, YOU have the most control over what happens to you.

looks like the realist was right! It was her own fault. She decided to get behind the wheel knowing she has been drinking. Hopefully other young adults get the hint now since she was so close to so many.
