Sad to hear of a 16 year old murdered with his entire life ahead of him.

Sadder yet is that this kid was out on the street at 2am. What do parents of any kid of any ethnic origin think a teenager is doing out at that hour?

I guess it's just something, like the loss of their son, they will have to live with forever.

So compassionate. And what does "ethnic origin" have to do with an area that is filled with gang violence. Its corrupt politicians, dirty cops, and dirty developers who have created this mess in the city of la puente. Its too bad you dont live here, but take your beautiful life and go to hell before I drop your name in the hat.

Don't let the IP address fool ya chum, I live less than 2500 yards from the shooting.

Compassion? I don't think so, just sorry that apparently nobody cared enough about the kid to keep him in at night.

Sorry if the 'ethnic origin' offended your delicate sensibilitiesm but I wanted to point out it's irrelevance before it's (inevitably) brought up.

Point last is your comfort with blaming "corrupt politicians, dirty cops, and dirty developers" for La Puente's woes when it is a parent's sole responsibility to raise, care for, and protect their child, not the mayor or their congressman.

But you just go on waiting for someone to come save you, seems to have served you well so far.

Advice to Valinda/La puente residents----especially those with kids-----move the F&%K OUT !! make the big sacrifice (financially) and get away from the low lifes---years ago I got the F&%K out of my prior neighborhood because of the next door neighbors (gang AH's)-----since my departure how are their children ?-------the eldest (a hype) dead from Cyrrosis Of The Liver----next--life without possibility for 2 murders (at the age of 18)---next---dead --gang shooting (age 16)---last another hype (still alive)
yeah I more than doubled my mortgage payments but the worst thing that myself or my kids had to worry about was Asian drivers------Hell of a lot better than living around cholos----FIND YOURSELF A GOOD REALTOR !!!!!

He may have posted that since someone always has to pull out the race card. I think you may have lost your mind saying that it's the fault of cops, politicians and developers, who have created this mess. Are you kidding me? The fault lies with the parents, loser gang members and ignorant people like you. Drop your name in the hat?????? How stupid and uneducated you sound. All of you claiming a neighborhood, that whole gang thing is so dumb. Some gang sign tattooed on your dumb neck.......lol So funny to the rest of us.

That's the problem no one takes responsibility for themselves and their family, it is always someone else’s fault. I really don't understand what "corrupt politicians, dirty cops, and dirty developers" have to do with this. Where was/is this kid's parents,It all starts with parenting. This kid is a victim only because his parents made him one.

Typical. Blaming someone else. It's always someone else's fault. Come on "big hommie." You serious? Try blaming the suspects. The poor kid himself. His parents. Sometimes you can do everything right and $hit happens. Cops get criticized when their too aggressive. They get criticized when their not aggressive enough and someone says, "go find some bad guys, why are you harassing me?" Only to get complaints because they're trying to find bad guys. People have to take responsibility for themselves.
