EPA's madness:

Newly adopted rules limiting airborne soot imposed by bureaucrats in Washington threaten to freeze the choices — and toes — of individuals living more than 4,000 miles away in subarctic Alaska. Thanks to authoritarian overreach, the freedom of America’s “last frontier” may not last much longer.

To put in context how overly restrictive that is, secondhand tobacco smoke in a closed car can expose a person to 3,000-4,000 micrograms of soot per cubic meter, according to the agency.

Mr. Obama’s hand-picked EPA administrator, Lisa P. Jackson, has granted herself the ultimate power: the ability to control the very air we breathe. Along the way, her regulatory zeal has raised questions about whether she has strayed beyond the boundaries of the law.

The regime is out to turn all of Alaska into a vehicle-free, jobs-free, human-free environment park for limousine liberals. Once you understand that grasping the rest poses no problem.

They won't be happy until we all live in tents. Oh but of course they will still live in big houses, drive around in limos and fly in jets.

Obama has used the EPA as a weapon in his war against the free market capitalism that is America. They will continue to restrict America's ability to produce it's own energy all the time saying we've got to get off of mid east oil. He will not be satisfied until he has made our once great country a 3rd world shyt hole.

We need no special knowledge to realize that our planet rewarmed considerably since the last ice age ended 11,000 years ago, reaching a high well above our present level 7,000 years ago, then falling into a varying pattern with hotter weather and worse droughts many times before our lifetimes..

We are badly served by public servants and politicians who are enriching themselves by fooling us into paying taxes they and their cronies steal though 'green' government programs.

Of course humans are affecting climate with roofs and pavements but the effects of these would be completely offset by simple changes in our codes and ordinances that would moderate our hot and cold extremes at no cost.

San Diegan's have been denied complete and accurate information about both global warming and water resource management by their news media. This has happened because few reporters and editors are educated well enough to recognize misleading and/or false testimony from self-serving civil engineers, agency managers, politicians and "environmentalists".

Every competent civil engineer knows that applying the simplest and least expensive rainwater management methods, such as those of Fresno or Phoenix, with due diligence would bring significiant microclimate change reducing heat and cold extremes. This in addition to guiding 20% of rainfall into storage to eliminate flooding, pollution and water importation.

But senior engineers know this will jeopardize their job security and curb their political powers so they order their staff to fool politicians, reporters and educators, misusing the global warming fears they create as a weapon with which to perpetuate their domains.

Of course we should take steps to prepare for climate change to either hotter or colder conditions, and continue to improve the quality of our air. But trying to prevent inevitable natural climate change is a fool's game.
