Please stop the erroneous assumption someone is scared of homosexuals! Thank you.

The arguments placed before the courts by proponents of same-sex marriage have never included plural marriage.
Many people who fear same-sex marriage have used that tired, old refrain--"If we allow same-sex couples to marry, where will it end?"
THEY are the ones bringing up polygamy.
The arguments in favor of same-sex marriage ARE NOT an natural leap to arguments in favor of polygamy. They have NOTHING to do with one another, other than they both discuss marriage.
Polygamists would be more likely to use heterosexual marriage rights to defend their arguments in court. This is especially true with the Defense of Marriage Act, which clearly prohibits same-sex marriage as not being recognized by the federal government.
Opposite-sex couples already have the rights and protections of marriage. Polygamists would naturally use those rights and protections that are already in existence to argue their case.
Polygamists were held in check by the same standard as everyone else, one man and one woman as husband and wife. Now that that standard is no more in a few states, they have an in.

Another crooked COP.

Bong the Gong and get this mess over with.

A South Lake Tahoe police officer pleaded guilty May 22, 2013 Wednesday to multiple counts of witness tampering and obstruction of an official proceeding.

A three-year, multi-agency investigation involving the FBI led to 44-year-old John Gerald Polandís arrest in January 2013 on five counts of witness tampering.

There are certain beliefs that we all have--dogmas, as you refer to them.
You believe that these dogmas are blinders--that they only allow us to see things in a specific way.
Where did I say that? I said YOU are living life behind blinders, which is quite evident with your denial of anything which doesn't support your position.

However, when your dogma includes a belief that a small, but key aspect of my character (i.e.: homosexuality) is a sin or a sign of brokenness; that it is unnatural and an abomination, then I will not entertain these beliefs as rational or scientifically based.
Umm, when have I have I ever said homosexuality is a "sin" or sign of "brokenness"?

This nation is going to hell, quickly.
Western societies primarily have frowned upon it, but not all parts of the world. Polygyny, is far more common than u think. Americans practice serial monogamy.

Yes. It is not wise to announce you are a polygamist. Since it is punishable by prison. So we have limited knowledge of how many polygamists there are in the USA.

It's safe to assume it's more common than most people believe due to it's illegality. And of course it has been very common throughout world history.

I see no problem with a happy poly family. It shouldn't be illegal. The only reason it is is because the Supreme Court doesn't like it.And bigotry against Mormons and Islam.

You don't have the market cornered on discrimination, quit acting as if you do.
Well, when the polygamists of the country rise up to take their case before the courts, you can lead their cause.

And no one said that the LGBT community has the market cornered on discrimination. There are plenty of examples of others who are discriminated against.

We are a united group who is seeking specific goals.

Other groups are working on their own projects.

OK... Looks like we're getting somewhere...

If you don't believe that homosexuality is a sin or sign of brokenness, then I guess we can count on your support of same-sex marriage.

Thanks in advance...

That goal is the elimination of monogamous conjugal, as in husband and wife, sole legal definition and/or standard in this country. Why does it matter after that who marries who, or doesn't?
