"Cops have better things to do than enforce smoking laws."

There's no money in enforcing smoking laws. They are better off doing traffic stings to pay the overtime and pension bills.

While I object to these banning all smoking laws which simply serve to take one more strike at our individual liberty and freedoms, I am trouble by Chris Vicino's answer.

An officer of the law must never decide which laws he or she will enforce based on whether or not said officer agrees with those laws.

I am glad he has moved on.

THe Chief is correct, do we tax payers really want police officers stomping out butts? It's also against the law not to water your lawn or to take out your garbage cans more than 24 hours before trash day, should police be looking for these law violators also. The truth hurts and people are always so hurt when they hear it. Vicino should have told this clown that his department was putting together a special task force to arrest people with large butts in their mouths. If you see a violator, call 1-800-NOBUTTS.
