While I have nothing but sympathy for the victims how is one murder in six month suddenly "an outburst."
Daniel if you want to PR for the PD, you should just admit that that is what you are doing.
er one murder but tons of people got hurt/wounded. I would consider that an outburst of violence and it will eventually mean more people are gonna get hurt or die in the future.

Once they committe a Felony, they loose the right to vote!
I meant even the ones who havent yet been caught... BECAUSE I'm sure each and every one of them has committed a felony regardless of getting caught or not.

I think better gun control is one step in the right direction. Consider what might happen if only knives were used instead of guns, there would be no "innocent bystanders." Imagine how successful all of the drive-by knifings would be, or imagine cholos out in the streets, throwing knives at each other. Harsher laws for illegal possession of firearms are a must. I agree with the intent behind the "Gifts for Guns" events, but I doubt they are removing guns from the right (or wrong) hands. All of the people that have guns and want to use them to gangbang - I don't think they'll want to give those guns up any time soon! I'm definitely in support of making it more difficult to illegally possess guns.
You're in fantasy land...the criminals already have the guns and always will-it's called black market. The most violent crimes happen most in areas with the strictest gun control laws. 2nd amendment is there because free men need to protect themselves. Gang bangers and robbers seek the least path of resistance: unarmed citizens. Don't fall for the propaganda.

<quoted text> Dear Mr. or Mrs. Anonymous; please you are one to talk. I read your comments and found many grammatical errors, including spelling, sentence structure and run on sentences. For your information, my family and their safety is the most important part of my everyday living. This is why I indicated that it would be best to move to one of the cities listed. Did you not read the article we are referring to: Outburst of gang violence in El Monte and West Valinda leave two dead, three wounded. The article alone would suggest to any intelligent person that it's time to move. Taking my family to a safer community.
You are right. It is about quality of life. Anyone can live in a boarded up house, carry a weapon, wear nor-hollywood robbery body armor, and be paranoid. But if you must strap on every day, because you know the streets are filled with fools pushing you daily, you gotta move. My family and I will depart in 2 months....neighborhood has declined and i want to walk the streets, without getting arrested myself, for strapping up. A really bad neighborhood can drive a person on the edge crazy, and innocent people might get hurt.

the real gang terrorizing our streets is our very own police department. Im an El Monte Flores gang member who grew up on Magnolia St., went in and out of the juvenile system, hit the county building, and still managed to graduate from college. Just because were bald headed and tatted doesn't make us any less of a human. Those cowards from the empd are the real enemy. They are constantly beating on us and dropping us off in enemy territories like its the thing to do. Might seem like a movie, but unfortunately, its very real. We're here too protect ourselves from the real enemy, the police. For those calling us trash, we all share the same love for our city. Only difference is, I joined the varrio. Not all the homies are hooked on drugs, commiting robberies, and shooting people. Stop being so fcking ignorant. Its still an 'F' thing and there's no way up out it. You guys can talk your talk, but only God can judge us. Don't like it? Move the Fck out. Also, do some research on the EMPD and youlle see what I'm talking about.
