That was his tenth Bar Dip, he does them regularly! It's his favorite exercise.

No photoshop needed!

Dude, I saw it. He got a round of applause -- he did like 10 or 15 reps. Some other guy I've seen around campus tried to do one after him and barely could hold himself up. Awesome facility!!

Since the school had to cut back a lot of our fitness classes such as my favorite Aqua Aerobics with Cheryl Swatek, they've made up for it fully with this new Wellness Center.

I go 3-4 times a week and it's amazing.

I've regularly done ten unassisted reps with a pair of 45lb. weights strapped to my waist - after I'd already completed four prior sets of dips at ever increasing weights at the end of a 90 minute upper chest/biceps workout.

Perhaps Mayor Bob should exercise something other than his triceps and chest (and those repeated trips to the fridge - as evidenced by his mid-section - do not constitute exercise).

We are firing teachers and cutting classes but the liberals who run our schools never get tired of wasting money.

LAUSD and their $500 million high school.$60 million for a rec center?

Disgusting! Vote for conservatives.

Um, MoreWaste, I think I read in the article that the facility was paid for with a raise in student fees, that they voted for. Nice try on the liberal bashing though.

I can't help but wonder if the students willing to pony up extra cash each year to fund this elaborate playground are the same ones that scream bloody murder when they are asked to pay more for the costs of actually attending classes.

Where does 'the Mayor' park when He goes to that facility on
Palo Verde?'The students' would rather have the $60M in
free parking than the few Who use this Gym. I'm sure the
Mayor used the pay lot for the full experience.

I agree with you 100 percent. I graduated before this place opened and back in 2007, I voted "NO" on the measure, knowing that students would have to pay extra fees and I don't know where the money would go to.
