Can the PT reporters please ask some simple questions.

Where is Pan AM park? Suspect info? Does the Police Department believe its gang related? Do they think it is related to any other shootings?

Please,

How dare you ask for such basic information?

Speaking of questions - you didn't hear what PT stands for, did you?

Nope, PT does not stand for Press-Telegram, it stands for Part Time.

And part time is stretching it when it comes to PT reporting anymore - that's why I canceled my subscription a long time ago. I figured as long as the PT made major cut backs to their staff, I'd cut back too.

Maybe Mayor Foster should lay off another 100 cops this year like last year so he can afford to pay off his developer friends like Tom Dean for their monetary support. That should fix things.

It's sad that families can't enjoy a day at the park anymore.

I played in this park in the 60's when my mom was involved with league volleyball. My cousins and I would roam from one end of the park to the other all day with no problems. Of course the citizen's then were largely made up of caucasian family's with a few trickle in family's of varied back grounds. It's not the color so much as then discipline and respect for others was held in high regard back then and a good kick in the butt was offered by both family's if fighting prevailed. It's sad how these kids just really don't care either way what sadness their actions bring to anyone.

Is there up to code, green grass, people friendly, and no ghetto drama parks in Compton? I guess not. One way to remember Memorial Day! "Remember when I got shot by a cat from Compton" DaQuaun told DisOne.

Mr. Please, Pam Park. Look it up on Mapquest.com , Suspects your typical black gang members, that have nothing better to do, than gang bang, have a good day Mr. Please. If you don't know how to read Mapquest, then take Anaheim, make left on Cherry, right on Redondo, and a U-turn on Clark and there you are.

I think he was trying to say that the Press Telegram is and has been doing a poor job reporting. I think he was being sarcastic about the location of Pan Am Park.

As a child and teenager I went to El Dorado, Heartwell, Del Vall, Pan Am and Rec park. These parks were a nice place for families to spend a weekend day, have a BB-Q, celebrate a birthday, watch a ball game or just relax.
It was very common that the peolpe that went to these parks usually lived in the neighborhoods surrounding them. How do I know? As a kid you always asked the other kids where they lived or what school they went to. Not because you wanted to know what "click" they were from but because you were just making friends.
Today the parks are filled with people from neighborhoods far from these parks. I know, our daughter plays ball at these parks and our son skates at some of them.
Of coarse people want to relax and play at the nicer parks, we do too. But today i'ts very hard for anyone to have a relaxing time there if your from that surrounding neighborhood.
I know Pan Am park, it's in a great neighborhood. But it's not a park I would let our children go to on the weekends. I may as well take them to Silverado park.
Every year it's getting worse at all of the parks.
Instead of complaining about the problems, we as a community have to do something about it.
Nobody wants to get involved in saving our community anymore. The closest we come is calling the police when it's already gone too far.
People do make changes! It has to start somewhere and sometime. Lets do it now.
I don't care where you are from or what race you are. If you want a change for the better, you have to work for it.
