Thanks Paisley... took that this summer... sent it to bf to keep him warm...and what is waiting at home...
My mom always said never have a dirty house, kids, or be disheveled yourself when your man comes home...and something delicious smelling in the oven....
And it works...lol!
I think it's exciting to a man, just that you've taken the time to look good for him and cook a good meal. Smart lady, your mom.

We are a new age of grandmas that is for sure...lol!
I'm liking this grandma thing! No one really told me how much there was to look forward to, or how NOT OLD middle age is, lol.
You're right about setting the standard, and you then attract folks who agree with it.

So is that your hair now? I love it, very flattering. the color brings out the color of your eyes well. I'm letting mine grow on out too, hubby asked me to. I'd always kept it just below shoulder length, but heck if he wants it butt-long he'll get it that way....at least in another year or two, lol.

Speaking of is yours naturally curly? Looks good on ya.
Mine is naturally curly,, I like to straighten it,, boyfriends likes it both ways..and yes,,he wants me to keep it long as well. I like to as you can wear it many ways..
And thanks...
Yes it is naturally wavy, and thank you. Straightening my hair only last for a couple of hours, they the more stubborn waves assert themselves and it doesn't look right, at least to me. My oldest daughter has VERY thick curly hair, and wears it long, and straightens it every day, lol. Her younger sister doesn't have a wave in her entire head, straight as an arrow and very thick. She gets perms and uses hot rollers to put some curls into her hair, lol. The grass is always greener, eh?

What is wrong with letting folks feel comfortable about themselves, you know; live and let live?
If someone makes an attempt to be more civil and focused on more positive things when the come to Topix, what is wrong with responding in kind?
One might find that the person they were dealing with had a lot to do too, with the way we had treated the other person.

There's at least two of us here tired of all the fighting and trying to do things a better way. Will you?

You have a great thanksgiving though.
Thanks! So do y'all do turkey with your thanksgiving too? Are the traditional foods the same?
I really hope I'm not at the hospital with the oldest in labor on the holiday, she could go anytime, already dilated some and has had the 'show'(where did they come up with that name? lol). I really want to experience BOTH events this week, lol.

LOL! I do not like Cranberries. Just don't get the putting of it on turkey.
No I'm not into putting it on the turkey, either. But dried, they are rather sweet, and I've been loving them in stuffings, trail mix, chicken salad, on a bed of spinach with blue cheese crumbles, candied pecans and raspberry vinaigrette! I got a little log of goat cheese and cranberry chevre, and have been eating on multigrain rosemary raisin crackers, lol.

LOL@theLoser who had to hire a hooker! Maybe the person will debase themselves on account of you, even MORE! Ya that'll really show you! Ha ha ha ha!
