More than a month after her son was attacked with a baseball bat at a South Pasadena park, Connie Cortinez spends nearly all her time at the hospital, hopeful her 18-year-old son will wake up from a coma.

So, why is Elijah Stinson, 17, OF LA PUENTE (emphasis added), attending South Pasadena High School??? Why is a South Pasadena NON-resident (emphasis added) attending our public schools, which we not only help fund via our exorbitant home prices and property taxes, but through a myriad of fund raisers, personal contributions, and in-kind contributions?

Is this the kind of kid we want in our school system, to be around our kids, and, I'm only guessing here, compromise the quality of our public schools; if not scholastically, then morally?

Does anybody else see a problem with this picture, or is it just me?

Yes I am Eljah's Cousin I am 23 of afe my cousin isn't the type of person to do harm to someone, let alone kill some one . YOU KNOW ELIJAH AND ARE SERIOUSLY DEFENDING HIM? i sat in class with him every day. i saw him carry that bat around at school. i heard him make jokes about attacking people with it. i saw all the fights he got in over who was tougher. i have never seen a person more concerned with his image. they kicked his ass for going after one of their girlfriends. he had that coming. you dont retaliate with a bat. the only reason he did it was because he wanted to say that he had done that in his life. obviously he wasnt thinking. OBVIOUSLY he didnt think he was going to kill someone. LOL it's funny how people want to hate , but hey it is what it is class mate lol unless you grew up with elijah on a day to day basis then you have nothing to say , I don't need respect from anybody so all of you that want to hate on my cousin hate on that's just more fuel to him coming home and justice has been served you gang up on someone and think there not going to defend themselve's well this is what you get.
