You know, the man worked in the Harbor Division of the LAPD and was an elected official for the City of Lomita, not to mention volunteering for those who are less fortunate than us. I think that is what makes this news worthy. I think this community is going to miss Tim King.

Tim was a great person, if you needed him he would do his best to help. As for the as for the jerks who made the stupid comments in this blog. He had more compassion and respect for others in his little finger than you on your best day so go find the rock you crawlled out from and stay there...

I'll never understand idiots who take the time to post cruel (and stupid) things about people who contribute way more postive things to this world than they obviously every could.

Capt. King was one of those level headed guys when it came to working with people, even if they were not the most compassionate types. He touch a lot of lives and problem solved for those who did not know how. As for the above who had terribly insensitive comments, things have a way of coming around.

Didn't know him personally, but knew of him. Good man. Am sorry he's gone, and a little concerned about what took him.

Bacterial infection? How, where, why?

It is a very sad day for the law abiding community. Captain King was an incorrect Captain Politically. He did what the people needed. I commend him for that.

I would however like to know what the "infection" he died of was. Was it MRSA or Staph or what. This is where the incomplete reporting by the Daily Breeze needs to be brought out and called on the carpet.

Larry lets do a complete investigation here. The people have lost a true hero.

Rest in Peace Captain King. You were a good man.

You, like LOL are a ghoul. The Daily Breeze or Larry have no obligation to give the minute details of what kind of bacterial infection caused a person's death. It is none of your business, MRSA, Staph, or otherwise. It is private priviliged information you nosey ghoul.

I attended my good friend Tim King's service this morning. I also attended the service at Green Hills.

I can say one thing. The family feels really offended by people like you somehow needing to know personal medical information about our loved one.

If there really was a problem that could possibly "concern" you, the CDC (Center for Disease Control) would make this information public, but even they would not give the individual names of the deceased who had contracted the particular disease.

Since I don't think you have the gray matter upstairs to figure out the name I used, let me put it this way:

It's NONE OF YOUR GODDAM BUSINESS!!!!

Ummm, all she did was ask how he went...I dont think that is out of line, not one bit. Especially after she complimented the guy, saying she heard he was a good man.

YOU, on the other hand, are a total arsehole.

You think you are special cause you attended his service or something? "you the man" cause you knew the guy? You the protector of his soul or something?

Get a grip and learn some respect!

Not to worry, this isn't out of the blue...this poster has been stalking me (as well as several other posters) for over a year.

Changes names frequently (seems like like "Idiot Patrol" however) but the syntax, regular use of certain words...and more, show that it's the same jerk.

He/she/it didn't attend any funeral and I seriously doubt they even knew Tim King.

The fact that they're using this event to stalk, is pretty disgusting.

I live in Lomita. I have known Tim King my whole life. I am a close family member. I'm not sure what same IP means. You people are vile members of this Topix thing and that is all you do with your lives 24 hours a day.
