I just want to say that I think that Roaring Run Resort up in Champion PA got some unfair bad reviews. I have been going there frequently and have only the best experiences. A few members a couple years ago tried to spam the internet's reviewing sites like Yahoo and Yelp to hurt the resort, but the truth is that it is run professionally and family-friendly.
My husband and I look forward to coming to Roaring Run Resort, especially in the fall. We have actually changed our destinations so we can be there in October. The fall is beautiful.

Roaring Run Resort review: Cabins are nice and clean and the rest of the campground looks like it is very well kept; clean, nice. The sites are a good size, shaded which is great and far enough apart for privacy. The pool is down the hill from the site, giving the grownups some peace and quiet while the kids splash around all day (which they love).

So I just want to say that Roaring Run is actually a really nice place to relax on the weekends and summer if you like camping. I have been about 5 times and am actually braving it again on labor day weeknd! Pros: clean facilities, absolutely beautiful scenery, good people, lots of activities, organized events, and big pool. Cons: its not easy to find Ė GPS is spotty in that area. So if you go Iíd say print a map off first. Enjoy.

The owners wife helps run the activities on weekends. Our two grandkids love them. Last week they had a Halloween theme and we had a blast.

my kids bought us an RV for my retirement party last year. My wife and I were not very into the outdoors, but we had the RV, so we decided to become members at Roaring Run Resort. We are now avid campers. The resort is great because it takes the stress out of planning a vacation. We have been hiking, used the pool, and done several nature walks. Overall, itís a great membership package. The campgrounds are especially nice in the fall and spring.

My husband and I joined Roaring Run as official members this summer. We have stayed two weekends so far. Overall, I am impressed and satisfied with this service. Roaring Run is an RV park and a campground. In order to stay there, you have to register as a member or come with someone who is already a member.

The last weekend we went to Roaring Run was in August. We brought my 8-year old nephew. I donít own an RV, so we stayed in a cabin. You can rent a cabin, bring your RV, or just camp. I saw about 5 cabins or so, so there arenít a whole lot. They are small and rustic, which I actually liked.

Itís hard to rate vacation spots like this because my experience is usually based around my family and the people Iím with. We spent most of our time in lawn chairs right outside our cabin Ė or by the swimming pool. Reading, talking, dipping in the water. The pool is large. There isnít a cafe or restaurant at the pool, which would be nice.

The last time we were there, we went to these scheduled activities hosted by the resort staff. The lady in charge, who said she is the ownerís wife, was there talking to everyone. She came over and introduced herself which I was impressed by. We played bingo and ate ice cream.

Roaring Run Resort reviews on Yelp are manipulated by Yelp. Yelp makes small companies pay to get good reviews on their review pages.

i tried writing a roaring run resort review on yelp and it disappeared. yelp is nonsense. roaring run had one family that was angry for some reason and tried to trash our resort on the internet. i say OUR because they make us members feel like it belongs to us. we respect and love going there.

One thing my husband and I like about Roaring Run Resort is that the resort allows you to camp a lot. I have friends in Ohio that are members of a park near Cleveland, and the park limits them pretty strictly in terms of frequency they can come to the park. On the aspect of being flexible and always having spar for us, I give Roaring Run Resort reviews an A plus.

Our favorite part of camping is the activities with our fellow RV campers. Roaring Run resort has ice cream activities and dances that we always go to. Itís especially fun when our grandkids come with us. They put down their smart phones and do physical outdoor activities for 3 days. Talk about a GREAT thing! lol.

My wife and I enjoy RV camping every summer. We typically spend 3 weeks on the road each summer. Roaring Run Resort is one of our spots. We joined as members in 2007. Kind staff. Considerate campers.

bring my kids to roaring run and grandkids most july weekends. great family place. we vacation in arizona in the winters and then camp around pennsylvania and new york in the summer. my favorite part about roaring run is the talent show they have each summer. our grandkids get to play in their band, which is cute considering they are between 7-11 years old. the yelp review is someone we met once, just a negative person. we love roaring run resort!

Some of these Roaring Run reviews make some bites at the value. I am a member and have been since 2009. You commit to a membership, which is a bit scary at first. But then it pays off. You can camp as much as you want. You get access to thousands of reciprocal parks across the U.S., I think in all 48 lower states (maybe Alaska too). So if you camp a lot, it's a great deal. If you've planned and want to do it, it's something I'd recommend. If you haven't thought about it, yeah it can be a bit nervous to think about joining.

The summer holiday celebrations are great for the kids. They have a hay wagon, activities for the kids, the lodge for the adults. The pool gets crowded in summer but is very popular. I recommend going in June or September - best months for getting a great spot without too many other visitors.

I spend about 4 long weekends a year at RR. Have been for six years. It's always pleasant and relaxing. Most of us know the one guy who went and wrote all these faith take bad reviews online. Just a sore loser after he got booted from the park for driving 40 mph on a 5 mph road. Over and over. One moron vs. a thousand nice campers.

Roaring Run Resort has a rich history. Its history includes a Boy Scout camp that goes back to Prohibition:

I just want to say that we went to roaring run resort a few years ago. We had a great time. We came with our RV and we called ahead and the staff hooked up our RV to the electricity and sewage lines before we even got there. So once we got to the resort, the work was done and it was just pure relaxation.

We love the resortís dances and DJs. The security guy is almost always accommodating and good at listening to our comments. What our kids like the most is probably the pool plus the resortís ice cream socials.
