I THINK IT IS A DISGRACE THE WAY THE IRVINGTON AND MORRISTOWN PD HANDLED THE BEAR SITUATION. VIDEO SHOWS OFFICERS CALMLY TAKING AIM AND SHOOTING THE ANIMAL. NO RESTRAINT WAS SHOWN. CLAIMS THAT THE OFFICER WAS REACTING TO AN AGRESSIVE ACT HAS NO MERIT AND IS WITHOUT QUESTION DISCOUNTED BY VIDEO. THE VIDEO SUGGESTS THE OFFICER WAS THE AGRESSIVE ANIMAL, NOT THE BEAR.

You are right. It is a true shame and those men handled it so wrong. I am very very saddened by this whole issue and too so many it was just a bear?

Absolutely inhumane. The bear was NOT threatening AT ALL before that
police needlessly SHOT (7 times).. the bear went into convulsion..
before dying.

That police officer is no hero. more like a brainless, heartless cop who thinks he was hunting.

The bear in Trenton was 225 pounds the one in Livingston 300? He reared up? Please, it was scared to death. Now there's a another news story of a bear in Pemberton, NJ. I wonder how big this monster will be?

What is the grey hairless animal seen around Arneytown and Jacobstown N J. It does not look like a Coyote or Fox. It is medium dog size, rounded ears like a deer, and long thin tail. I have never seen these before. They look ill fed or mangy due to the lack of any obvious fur. I think one was seen recently in Bucks County Pa. but to those who haven't seen it, think we are delusional and are calling it the "Yardley Yeti" of course this is facetious, since it is nothing like a Yeti, and I wouldn't still be around to tell you about it, if it was!
