Tappan Zee Bridge: Backups remain on S/B commute though thick plates are gone
SOUTH NYACK - Those thick, raised construction plates that caused morning-long backups over the Tappan Zee Bridge are gone today for Westchester- and New York City-bound commuters but heavy backups continue.

Something needs to be done. Can they really think that they can leave these plates on both sides of the bridge permanently!!!!!??
This is ridiculous. Has anyone heard anything on a more long term solution (besides a replacement bridge)?

I read something that stated it would be like this until the end of December. It's so ridiculous. I work 17 miles from my house and it takes me 2 hours to get home.
