Regarding the comment about the accomplishments of Webb for VP; so what? Other than his military experience, what else has he done. Just another Lurch Kerry, "I served in Vietnam" but I did not do anything else.

Regarding Robert's assertion that aside from his military experience Senator Webb has done nothing...
It's gotten way past annoying when those on the right who always claim to revere those who are either currently serving, or have in the past served in our armed forces, will suddenly vilify those same soldiers/ veterans when they don't walk in lockstep and mindlessly spout right-wing talking points.
If Robert (and others who claim the same) would take just a couple of minutes to do a bit of research, he/they would find that Senator Webb did indeed serve as a Marine till 1972. That Senator Webb worked closely with the Republican/ right-wing saint Ronald Reagan as an assistant Secretary of Defense, then as Secretary of the Navy. They would also find that in addition to his military decorations including the Navy Cross, Senator Webb has recieved a Distinguished Public Service Medal, a Patriot Award from the Medal of Honor Society, the American Legion's National Commander's Public Service Award, and a Veteran of Foreign Wars Media Service Award.
In addition to all of this, Senator Webb has spent his free time as an active--and successful--of several books and managed to wrest the Virginia Senate seat away from George "Macacca" Allen in 2006.
Yeah, it sure sounds to me as though Senator Webb has done "nothing."

I whole heartily agree with Fred Seiden that our flay needs to fly with pride and diginity. I know I do that for I remember my service to my country during the Vietnam era and look back with pride. Our flag represents what our country stands for and that is freedom but also sybolizes the sacrifices the brave men and women gave to our country.

Compare the accomplishments of McCain/Webb with those of Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum(b).

I am writing because I saw a racoon on my deck in broad daylight. I called the Town and was told it was "normal" when they are "hungry" to appear during the day. This is contrary to what I know about racoons and I no longer feel safe in my own backyard.

I'm so very happy that my taxes offer my family the best in services.
