HEZ has been practicing other songs to enhance his reputation and love life---- some of the tunes are----tunnel of love---bobbing for apples-- kiss me where it counts---in the heat of the moment--forbidden love---jungle love--and I love my man.--all these tunes have a sentimental meaning to the HEZ, and express his love life. by the way his band is called the back door boys. they play in sodomite bars, and dress in hot pink thongs, and frilly nighties.

I wonder how you people defending louie as a coach feel now that he really has no talent to work with. Ask anyone who has played under louie and they will tell you he doesn't know enough about the game to be a head coach at the high school level. why do you think he has went through so man assistant level coaches in the past 6 years? Statistics and records don't lie.

News Flash...Coaching at the high school level is not about winning and losing. Its learning the game, fundamentals, sportsmanship. Louie Means had one of the greatest mentors a coach/person could have and is doing a great job. The basketball players that leave deer park are not only prepared for college level sports, they are prepared for life. I would be proud to have Louie coach my son in the future.....win or lose.....

Many times coaches set themselves up for criticism, such as when they place their own freshman son who is an average player on the varsity when other boys have been busting their tails for 3 years to get there. Obviously DPTX has little or no athletic past or else he/she would understand the importance of sports in the developement of a well-rounded student. Perhaps he/she should trade in the keyboard for a backboard - couldn't be any worse at that game than he/she is at this one.

<quoted text>The point I (and football fan) have tried to make on numerous occasions, is too many are too focused on these extra-curricular activities and want to proclaim how great "our kids" are, based on their sports performance.
To these folks, I say, "Get over it and get a real life!".
First, these kids are in school to learn the things that will be much more important in their life's success.
Sports is entertainment and 99.9% of these kids do not have the talent to make it a career. So, unless they are considering a career as a PE teacher, it will never be anything more than a past-time for most.
So, how many go to the Spelling Bee and Debate competitions and root for their kids and then expect the school to fire the English or Speech teachers, if their kid/team doesn't win?
I agree 100%, most of those parents are putting too much priority on sports instead of education and the school does too. I know first hand that teachers cater to the football players. My son found that out as a fact. He was paired on a project with a football players. The football player didn't want to do the project and slept instead. My son refused to do the work and had a high enough average so he refused to the the project. Both he and the football player only put there name on the paper and both got a 70. That is really sad, and I probably would not have believed it had he not told me about it

geez...what's the problem?

If I was parent of a talented athlete.... why not hope that an institution of higher learning might recognize it and offer a FULL SCHOLARSHIP...

just maybe then he would understand the importance of "making the grade" for the future... or be talented enough to develop into a professional athlete.... making millions...

you figure out the rest...

This is some funny stuff folks! In my opinion LM WAS a terrible coach, made more obvious since he has stepped down as coach. See ya homes, wouldn't want to be ya!

And also, anyone that violates a UIL rule (1201b10) against exerting undue pressure on players to participate in a particular off season program (especially when they were involved in a better one the season before) is not worthy of being a coach, nor is someone that belittle kids. not quite a stand up guy, I would say.

So what exactly did LM do wrong?
Did he step down or was he fired from coaching?

This program is still in the tank with these coaches. Our new coach and his assistant are horrible. DP needs to clean house and get rid of all of them. The new coach seemed very passive at the games I attended and his assistant is obnoxious. I think the assistant thinks he's the head coach by how much he coaches the boys. The two of them are horrible to watch and it shows in their season stats. Come on DP it's time to get fresh coaches in this program and restore it to its glory days.
