Obama wants domestic spending cuts in next budget

http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/A...

Looking at his, BO, spending habits a good place to start would be for him to stop all of the trips that he takes and resign. He leads the pack for spending money we do not have and increasing the national debt. Even George Bush can't hold a candle to him. Obama care should be shut down to help hold down spending; it will be another disaster filled with fraud by greedy people.

U.S. Treasury Confident Congress Will Increase Debt Ceiling

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news...

Another good place to start reduction; do not increase the debt ceiling!
Make a mandatory 10% budget reduction for all departments except the military, increase that by 10%. Do not allow anyone to access the military budget for non-military funding.
Deny all lobbyist access to the Congress and or the Senate. Immediately make all proposed bills strictly line items to eliminate pork spending and special attachments.

So how serious is congress and the President?

First he had to save the economy by stimulus spending. Then he has to protect the future by cutting the deficit spending.

Thank God we have Barack Obama as president.

Bill, do you think we could find a way to cut military spending by reducing all the waste and fraud?

It's not lobbyist access to Congressmen that causes the problem. It's their funding of the campaigns that amounts to no more than pure bribery. Do you support campaign finance reform which would result in taxpayer funding of campaigns?

Typical left-loon logic. The problem is BO has spent more than all the other Presidents and caused the massive deficit. It is not the nature of left-loon liberals to cut spending... it's just smoke & mirrors.

CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM? You got to be kidding. BO wouldn't have been elected, if he used the taxpayer funded campaign, as McCain did. At first, he said he would, then he backed out... since he was getting all that money from those "poor" people, sending in their $5-$25 donations. The only way he would consider signing such legislation, will be if he gets re-elected, so he won't have to worry about it affecting him. Of course, it's not likely we'll worry much about him getting re-elected, as his popularity has declined quicker than any other President before him.

Even Teabaggers realize Bush destroyed the economy and ran up the massive debts and deficits. Obama has done what he had to do to rescue the economy.

Campaign finance reform is in the hands of Congress. To pretend that Obama would block such legislation is silly. Not that politicians are ever going to cripple their meal ticket.

Campaign reform would do more to solve our political problems than anything else. But voters don't even believe it's possible. Maybe if Fox News would commit to a propaganda campaign equal to ACORN, the Teabaggers would answer the call. Hell, left-loons might even join with Teabaggers and birther morons on this issue.

"rescue the economy"??????????

Hez, you really need to wake up. Unemployment is now over 10 %. People are still losing jobs. If the economy doesn't recover by 2012, Mr. Obama will be a one term president just like Bush Sr. If the economy is bad, people typically kick them all out of office.

I guess that makes me a "racist". Give me a break! BO is a failure. I won't even mention how he stood up at Ft. Hood and passively defended Islam.... "No religion condones this type of violence.........". You probably saw that on CNN, but didn't catch it. Just like you think that the economy has recovered.

What would the economy look like right now without the bailouts and stimulus spending?

The consensus of economists is that we would be in a major depression akin to the Great Depression. You seem to be unaware of the economic abyss that we faced when Obama took office.

Do you think Islam condones the type of violence that occurred at Fort Hood?

Regarding the economy, I wish we had the chance to see what it would be like without Obama's spending spree. It is getting a bit late in the term to keep blaming Bush for everything.

Regarding your question about Islam, yes, I do. The examples are well documented. To say that Islam is a religion of peace is just more "PC" garbage. "Where Muslims do coexist peacefully with non-Muslims, it is not because the teachings of jihad have been reformed or rejected; they have been simply ignored, and history teaches us that they can be remembered at any time." (Robert Spencer in The Politically Incorrect Guide (PIG) to Islam.

Is that why we bomb so many Muslims, because they are so violent?

Wait a minute. I won't dump all of these problems on President Obama, but I sure won't lay it all on President Bush. What started the spending spree on this country's money was September 11, 2001.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Cancer

If you have children at home they'll be really playful today and quite a handful at times. Encourage them to burn off all their energy during the day otherwise it will be a case of tears before bedtime. There could also be a fractious atmosphere between you and a loved one, and this will quickly escalate into a row if you aren't careful.
